I think a better quote would be: In the land of the blind, a clown is king.
Today’s lesson asks you to simply repeat the lesson every half hour, preferably more times: every 15-20 minutes.
Simply repeat the lesson to yourself in every situation: ABOVE ALL ELSE I WANT TO SEE.
You are instructing your mind what you want. This is the end of meaningless goals. You want to see, above all else.
Above all else, I want to see.
You’ve been blind and deaf your whole life. Now you’re coming alive. Your eyes are beginning to open, at last.
I cannot be stated enough: there is no process to “enlightenment”. There is no journey. There is only recognition of what you ARE already. You can see. You can hear. You can be in a constant state where there is only love.
Trust me.
Everything you are searching for, exists in you this moment. You are the treasure. You are the goal. You are the Holy Grail. Everything you are looking for is inside you, and waiting for you to acknowledge it.
“Enlightenment” is recognition of yourself as God created you. It is awareness of your own perfection in God. It’s not some special state that only a few can achieve. If someone tells you they are enlightened, run the opposite direction.
It would be like a girl telling you: “I’ve achieved a special state: I’m a girl”
Duh. How obvious. There is nothing special about it.
This whole charade of “enlightenment” is the reason why so many people are confused.

No one has to tell you they are enlightened. You’ll be able to see it plainly for yourself. It’s the most natural thing in the world and that’s why you can let go of all your ideas that you are not worthy or holy enough or smart enough, or that you haven’t had a chance to go sit on a mountain top to meditate. The path to God is not for a select privileged few.
It is for you.
You can breathe, right? And it’s not difficult, right? You do it with no effort. You do it without thinking. It comes naturally.
Then you can see.
All day long remind yourself: Above all else, I want to see.

I think this is one of the most important lessons of the Course. It is a way to “rest” in God. All we need do is offer willingness and the Holy Spirit will do the rest.

Today has been recovering from poor choices with food , so above all else I want to see. This is what I want more than my next breath, let me see. Again the old world is hard and painful, I want todays lesson to be true above all else. Above all my victim story, persecutor story, rescuer story, I want to see differently. My actor’s eyes only see one of the above scenarios usually… all a waste of time and energy, lead nowhere and today I am reminded there is another way to see. I only have to say yes with say it once if I feel perfectly sincere while repeating the idea, I can be sure I have saved myself many years of effort. Let this moment be that sincere moment God.
