Start making a difference

OPRAH’S BIG GIVE

Okay, I want to be part of this. I think they have already taped the entire show (and announced the winner) even though the show officially starts on Sunday March 2nd on ABC. I watched the clip and it seems like taping is already over. But I still love the idea.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU HAD THE POWER TO CHANGE SOMEONE’S LIFE FOREVER?

Contestants are given a bunch of cash (but I don’t know how much. $1000? $10,000? I have no idea) and they have 5 days to change someone’s life forever. And the one who gives the most wins.

I love this idea.

I have no money, but I still love this idea, and I still want to participate. I want you to get involved also.

Change someone’s life in 5 days.

And then let me know what happens.

MAKE DREAMS COME TRUE FOR TOTAL STRANGERS.

When I read this I immediately felt intimidated. My business instincts surfaced and told me. You can’t set a specific goal. You have no concrete way to measure it if you could. With no money to dish out, no time and no specific goal you are dooming yourself to failure. Run while you have the chance. Then I thought that money is not necessary. The harder I try to make it happen the more I will dilute the result. I feel as though I can plant the seed, a thought, and simply just let it happen. I’m in!

Ha! How awesome. This is exactly how I feel Al. Like, how can I possibly make a difference when I have no money? When I feel like have nothing to give. But this is where it gets interesting and challenging and all power given unto me by God to make a difference in someone’s life, to make someone happy. More and more i see that all power lies in the simplicity of saying YES! even when I don’t have a clue how to make it happen. The Course says: decide the goal can be accomplished and the means are given.

I also laughed: Run while you have the chance.

    haha.

Decide the goal can be accomplished and the means are given. What a wonderfully optimistic statement!!!!!!!!!!

    Good Night Lisa,

I am squeezing in here @ 11:57 and wanted to say yes to the gift of making a difference in 5 days… and will keep you posted.

I have had quite a day… housesitting/cat sitting, now it is cat ( s ) sitting. I had a new arrival today… Bella is this wonderful demonstration.. at maybe 2 months old. he is completely uprooted… whisked into a box, with a stranger, off in a car, open up the box and he is in a completely new place..with this Big MaMa hissing and waving her paw at him… Meet Blossom..Suddenly in another room, door closes and some familiar things start to appear. Cat bowl w/ food. Litter box…an assortment of his meese and toys.. within 1/2 an hour he is on the bed asleep…while I loved him and told him he was beautiful and I loved him…

Fast – forward… This happened to me…? Yikes! would I be asleep?
So relaxed and trusting.. I am praying that I will learn about God from Bella over the next week… she seems to have this ‘oneness thing’ down.

    Love Jayme
