Hi Lisa, A couple of days ago you asked me to make a difference in someone’s life…He is a 23 year old young man and son of my friend. He and his girlfriend had gotten a kitten that had lost thier mother to a cougar. They made a trip to the valley, all three. Only being a week or two old and no mom, life was hard for them. And equally difficult for the 2 young parents..Bella, who has turned out to be Mr. Bella is as wild as they get.. Having no mom to give him boundaries with a heavy paw or a bite now and then. So I agreed to take him and see if I could reparent this little monkey. In a week he is so much better with my consistent parenting and boundaries with a loud ‘no’ or the spray bottle, he is shaping up nicely. He treats me just like a mother cat…doing the same rubbing on me that he would if I had fur.. same pushing his limits with anyone’s patience… Behavior that is acceptable at 3 weeks is not so sweet at 4 months , like swinging off my pant legs… ouch..I am hoping that he transitions back with his parents or with anyone who wants him and does it more easily now that he has some manners.
I do not know this young man who is the dad but I love him to bits.. I just wanted to be helpful…
love Jayme
There is no point in lamenting the world. There is no point in trying to change the world. It is incapable of change because it is merely an effect. But there is indeed a point in changing your thoughts about the world. HERE YOU ARE CHANGING THE CAUSE. The effect will change AUTOMATICALLY.
