Oops. Little typing error in an otherwise beautiful piece of art! For, not fro. Ooops. But I still like it because it’s true: it’s what I do: pray only for knowledge of God’s Will for me and the power to carry that out. Amen.
This is the prayer I prayed (truly praying for the first time) with all the will, effort and humility a broken man can muster (a long story) the night before my original introduction to Reality. The next day….WAPPO! I was 10 years sober at the time.

My Creator,
I am now willing that you should have all of me,
good and bad.
I pray that you now remove from me
every single defect of character which stands in the way
of my usefulness to you and my fellows.
Grant me strength, as I go out from here,
to do your bidding.
Amen

Oh, and for all the beautiful idea oglers, another pithy slogan from AA -
“Faith without works is dead.”
My life was transformed by the grace of God, A Course in Miracles and with the help of Jesus Christ. If you have a willingness to forgive and to see things differently, you can change your life.
