Lesson 140

Only salvation can be said to cure.

“The happy dreams the Holy Spirit brings are different from the dreaming of the world, where one can merely dream he is awake.”

Lately, everything is freaking me out a little. In a good way. I have been spending all my time LISTENING, and as I listen, I receive specific instructions that tell me where to go, what to say, and what to do.

I am in Chicago right now, and having the most fantastic time. This trip is a gift from God. Everything is so easy. I am in Evanston, 10 miles north of Chicago and I did not know such a beautiful place existed in the United States. It’s gorgeous here. The house I am staying in is right on Lake Michigan!

I also realize that I am completely different from the way I was a few years ago when I would race around like a chicken with its head cut off, trying to get people to learn about A Course in Miracles. Now, I’m doing nothing, except what ACIM is asking of me … being the happy demonstration of Jesus’ message … and everything is one big miracle. Today’s lesson says “only salvation can be said to cure.”

All that is needed is for me to accept salvation, accept Atonement, accept my perfection as God created me, and realize the world is in my mind. I don’t need to chase after people, places, situations or things. I simply need to keep aligning my mind back to truth, and the rest will be taken care of.

I have had internet service on my Mac for the past 2 days, but yesterday a voice said “email yourself the Admin URL for Gorgeous for God, along with your passcode” (all my websites are bookmarked, and passcodes are automatically saved in my Mac) so I did as instructed. I cut and pasted the URL and sent it to myself at my Yahoo address.

This morning, I couldn’t get a connection on my Mac! Had I not emailed the URL to myself last night, I would have zero clue how to get into this site to write my blog this morning.

But here I am! On the house computer, reminding myself of today’s lesson. Only salvation can be said to cure. What a joyous realization to find you have a Guide with you, who can see the the whole picture and can tell you what to do!

Again, it’s freaking me out a little. In a good way.

It’s a happy occasion to listen and follow the Holy Spirit’s voice. It takes no time to do what He asks. I don’t question. I simply follow.

“Peace be to you who have been cured in God, and not in idle dreams. There is no place where holiness is not, and nowhere sin and sickness can abide. This is the thought that cures.”

THIS IS THE THOUGHT THAT CURES!

Holiness is everywhere! And sin and sickness cannot withstand the light!

“There is no place where holiness is not, and nowhere sin and sickness can abide.”

Here is today’s practice:

“Today we seek to change our minds about the source of sickness, for we seek a cure for all illusions, not another shift among them. “

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“We will not be misled today by what appears to be sick. We go beyond appearances today and reach the source of healing, from which nothing is exempt.”

Healing is in your mind!

“It is not farther from us than ourselves. It is as near to us as our own thoughts; so close it is impossible to lose. We need but seek it and it must be found.”

“So do we lay aside our amulets, our charms and medicines, our chants and bits of magic in whatever form they take. We will be still and listen for the Voice of healing, which will cure all ills as one, restoring saneness to the Son of God.”

“Today, we hear a single Voice which speaks to us of truth, where all illusions end, and peace returns to the eternal quiet home of God.”

This I love:

“Our only preparation is to let our interfering thoughts be laid aside, no separately; but all of them as one. They are the same. We have no need to make them different, and thus delay the time when we can hear our Father speak to us. We hear Him now. We come to Him today.

We hear Him now. We come to Him today.

With nothing in our hands to which we cling, with lifted hearts and listening minds we pray:

Only salvation can be said to cure.
Speak to us, Father, that we may be healed.

This is the day when healing comes to us. This is the day when separation ends, and we remember Who we really are.
