Hi Denise,

thanks for writing.

I don't know if cancer and alcoholism are considered chronic diseases but those I once had and now I do not.

But none of this affects the truth of reality at all. i write and teach because my own life has been so dramatically changed by Jesus, and yes, changed by A Course in Miracles. This journey is very personal and perhaps the instruction you are receiving is "to keep your mouth shut", but the instruction I receive - at least in this moment - is to write and speak and express this message so others may hear it.

You're right - the journey from head to heart is dramatic and graceful.

I thank God for you.

love, lisa

This seems so old to me ..I was a 'guru' ACIM teacher healer and when I got whacked with a chronic illness I did not realize I was judging with ACIM ! Have you had a chronic illness? I have become like puddy after this experience and do not rely on ACIM words to uplift and separate myself from those poor unenlightened ones that do not accept the'change' they asked for...who is 'they'? ..very tricky! that old saying is true ..until you walk in somebodies shoes as a master I would say keep your mouth shut which is what I do now...very humbling to not know it all or because a book says" blah..blah...the journey from head to heart is dramatic and graceful.I have come Home to myself and trust my Self.

Wow! This is perfect. The analogy I think of when making huge changes is this: I'm in a boat heading accross the water toward my new destination. The place I left is growing more faint in the distance, but I can't see the destination yet. I'm affraid that soon I'll lose sight of the old familiar place and yet not be able to see the new place yet. There's that scarry transitional void, and the temtation is to head back to the known negative at the expense of the unknown promise.
