(188) The peace of God is shining in me now.
These past few days have been interesting. I’ve had diarrhea non-stop (I tell you guys everything – probably more than you want to know – sorry!), and then two days ago I spent the entire day sound asleep – like Sleeping Beauty. It wasn’t just like resting or lounging – it was sound asleep, knocked out from 11pm-5pm.
I did get out of bed in the morning to post the daily lesson, and the most I could do is post it with no further commentary.
And now I’m still slightly out of balance … like a newborn chick that’s just been hatched.
It’s a real happening to crash into a new frequency of energy. These are not just nice ideas we throw around. When you really make a decision to change a habit, to set aside your present way of doing things, your current way of thinking, your present views and judgments and prejudices … you change!
The world changes!
The mind lands in the new place BEFORE the physical solid body lands there. For example, you conceive of peace in your mind before your physical world actually become peaceful. You visualize a new house or a new job or a new relationship in your mind first before it appears in your physical world. This is because the body is denser than the mind. It takes a little time to catch up.
But the mind is capable of traveling to new dimensions and new possibilities all the time.
The difficulty is that most people have a tendency to slump back into the old place (in their mind) without realizing what they are doing. You must keep your mind in the new place in order for the body to come to where your mind is. As long as you keep moving your mind back to the old place, the body doesn’t move. Nothing changes.
So, when you make a decision to keep your mind in the new bright place, aligned with God and truth, the body has no choice but to come to where you are.
And when the body does try to catch up, it can appear like it is falling apart. At least this is my experience. Maybe you’re making the journey like a stroll in the park. This is not how it happens for me. When I enter into a new world, my body falls apart. I remember 7 years ago, when I had my first contact with the light I vomited for 4 days straight. I had given up alcohol and smoking and I had switched my diet to vegetarian for 30 days, and I felt great, better than ever, alive, free … and then out of nowhere I started vomiting gallons and gallons of fluid. I couldn’t stop it. It went on for days.
I was exhausted. I would drink one baby sip of water and immediately vomit 3 gallons of fluid.
And then one day, it was over … and I was a changed person. A newborn baby.
I never ever never call any physical symptom “sickness.” I simply acknowledge “Okay, this is what is happening to me now. It’s neither good nor bad. It just is what it is. I accept what is happening to me, with gratitude.”
And you know, I learned this from my cats. This is not rocket science. Animals know instinctively how to heal themselves. When they need to rest, they rest. They sleep all day and play all night. They don’t push themselves. They eat when they are hungry. If they hurt themselves, they lie low until they are well again.”
And the “miracle” is that they heal quickly.
The body will naturally heal itself if you learn to listen to what it needs. If it is telling you to go to bed at 6pm, then go to bed at 6pm. Don’t push yourself to stay up till midnight just because that is what you have always done.
The peace of God is shining in me now.
What I’ve been looking at lately is the idea of CONCENTRATED FOCUS.
Concentration of energy will heal all heals.
All problems stem from scattered energy.
The mass majority of people have no idea how to concentrate. They have lost their ability to focus.
Look honestly at how you read the lessons or the text of A Course in Miracles. Now, I could be totally absolutely wrong here – and maybe you are able to read a chapter from start to finish – and maybe your life is one big miracle filled with love, peace, joy and abundance and you don’t need any help at all – but it is my guess that your mind starts to wander immediately within the first couple of sentences.
It is my guess that you would like a miracle to occur.
It’s not the words that will change you – IT IS YOUR CONCENTRATION AND FOCUS. This is what most good students do not realize. They are still trying to understand the meaning of the words, forgetting Lesson #1: Nothing I see means anything.
The words in A Course in Miracles don’t mean anything. You are given them the meaning they have for you. It’s not the words that will change you. It is your dedication, willingness and commitment to simply show up and do the work where you will see fundamental lasting change.
The words themselves are nothing.
Your commitment and willingness is everything.
That’s what the Classes are designed to do: to help you focus.
There is nothing to understand. There is nothing “to get.”

There is no need for confusion or suffering. There is no need for transformation to take lengthy periods of time. It need not drag on for years.
It’s like in yoga, you can do the poses yourself at home alone … of course … but it is much better to have a teacher who is standing over you helping you hold the pose for a longer period of time. It pushes you past your comfort zone. It strengthens your core.
Have you ever seen the difference between doing yoga at home by yourself vs. doing yoga with a personal trainer? It’s like night and day. In the first scenerio you give up within 10 minutes as soon as it gets a little difficult. In the second scenerio, you have to go the full hour because the teacher is standing over you and won’t let you get lazy. Yes, it’s hell. But it’s worth the money because you see faster results.
The more you stay focused on God, the more you will change, and the more the world will change. This is the collapse of time.

Just so you know, I myself am constantly coming into a deeper awareness. I haven’t seen anything yet. That’s the beauty. It’s always a new beginning. It’s always a brand new day. Every time I give some time to God, He reveals something new to me.

Hi you sweet thang! My gorgeous for god girl. Here is time …knocking at what appears to be the end of something. I only see beginning. I have started to watch my collection of The Master Teacher videos that are available online from Endeavor Academy, reading the Urtext of ACIM, reading Gorgeous for God in our study group, doing the lessons daily, and reading your blog. A whole new vista has opened up for me and none of this would be possible if it wasn’t for you, my love. Gorgeous for God has opened me up to receive and it is only now that I am able to do things that I was never able to do before.
When God showed me where you were sometime in the middle of the year… I wasn’t even doing the lessons and had not for years. But I had come to my end… literally. This abyss that was swallowing me up, in AA is called a ‘bottom’ and I had been in them before but not like this was. I know the characteristics of a spiritual bottom… and then I found you. You have saved my life. You have helped me more than anyone on earth.
I have started to do what you talk about… reading aloud. And when I can remember to do it it changes everything. I cannot have a whole dialogue going on in the background of my no – mind and read aloud too. It is amazing.
I have also started to feel a love for the course like I never ever dreamed possible. The Urtext of ACIM is simply glorious. The text when I read it with you in the classes is out of this world beautiful. I hear The Master Teacher and when He gives His bible class I weep with the love and innocence He has returned to my mind. I am whole and perfect as God created me … and now I know so is everyone else.
To have the past erased, never mind wiped clean it is just gone and was never there adn the future is not even a thought … it is in this present glorious moment that God is here with me and that I know I am His Son, complete and healed and whole, shining in the reflection of His Love.
There was nothing to forgive or be forgiven for, it was just a dream… and I am soaking in the air of LOVE. Heaven is without contradicition. Here and Now.
