Lesson 283

My true Identity abides in You.

That You is God.

My true Identity abides in You, God.

The shit is starting to hit the fan here in the world.

The image “http://www.weblife.org/humanure/images/shitflying.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

The time we knew was coming has arrived. The tide has turned and now is the time for faith. You’re going to see a lot of changes. Abundance books are about to take a nosedive in sales. Mark my words.

When people are on the verge of foreclosure, with no work and no money, and are having to sell their cars to pay their credit card debt, and have no food to eat, believe me, they are not thinking about how to get their millions.

Suddenly, IT’S BACK TO BASICS.

You realize that STUFF is just stuff, and it means nothing.

When you are stripped of everything you thought kept you safe, when there is nothing left for you to cling to, when you are standing naked and exposed, YOUR TRUE IDENTITY IN GOD is revealed to you.

I find that most people use God as a past-time, like a hobby. As if being spiritual is something hip and cool, rather than a total necessity, like water.

It is said you cannot survive without water for more than 10 days, and so it is with God. You cannot survive without God. You just can’t. It’s impossible. You can go for a very very very long time, but there will come a time when you simply start to dehydrate.

I used to work for the University of California, Berkeley Wellness Letter and our editors wrote a sentence that put our newsletter on the map: “Water is a very good drink.” Every health magazine in the country picked up that sentence and reprinted it, as if it was cutting-edge leading information. Water is a very good drink.

Glass of water by Konstantin Sutyagin.

Well, guess what? It is!! Water is a very good drink.

And guess what else?

GOD IS A VERY GOOD DRINK.

You should be sipping from the cup of life every day.

Cup of Life by Macxbebe.

The world is in an apparent crisis. Don’t forget: It’s a dream. Please don’t take it seriously. If you take it seriously, you will get sucked in, sucked down, dragged down, and torn to shreds.

Shit Hitting the Fan is the very best analogy to what is happening right now. Shit is flying everywhere. It’s affecting everyone. I read yesterday that retirement funds have lost $2 trillion dollars in the past 12 months. That’s interesting. What’s going to happen to the way we live? How do you survive when your safety net is taken away?

One of my readers was served foreclosure papers yesterday, and another reader who is on disability and receives money from the government for housing is convinced she will be homeless soon because the government will stop sending her a check every month.

What is happening?

We are forced to ask for help and start communicating with each other. It might be that people have to start living in family structures again. Who knows? Can you imagine! All these people who have been living alone and single for all these years suddenly living together with others in communities.

What I do know for certain is that God is good.

Do you pray every day?

Prayer is essential. It’s like water. You absolutely NEED it on a daily basis.

I pray hourly for guidance, grace, direction and wisdom.

The form doesn’t matter. Religion doesn’t matter. There’s no special clothing required. You don’t have to get on your knees if you don’t want to. You don’t need a private sacred space. You don’t need candles nor music nor special mat. All of that is distraction.

All that is needed is that you take a few minutes throughout the day to get quiet and start listening, looking and hearing.

All that is needed is a little willingness to see things differently.

The great Emmet Fox said, “Have you ever noticed that God gave you two eyes and two ears but only one tongue?”

Most people just talk talk talk talk talk – about their problems, about their worries, about their concerns, about their solutions, about their situations. Talk talk talk talk talk.

It’s time to start listening and looking.

Now is the time for faith.

    Listen, learn and do!!!

  2. Jim says:

    Lisa,

Lately i’m getting very confused. On the one hand, i’m reading that the sky is falling and the world will be ending in 15 minutes, so please leave by the nearest exit. On the other hand, i’m being introduced to a kinder, gentler creator who wants only good for us and that all these worldly issues are just that and my integrity isn’t at stake, just worldly stuff. Does the world have problems? Yes. Is this something new? No. Can these things things be fixed? Yes. It is always the best of times and the worst of times.
The shit hitting the fan is not having any food to eat-been there. The shit hitting the fan is someone trying to kill you like our kids in Iraq and another generation in Viet Nam-been there.
What’s going on now is called life and it’s all made worse by all the fear mongering and talk of a falling sky! Let’s demonstrate our faith in God and our fellow man by being positive and being part of the solution instead of throwing gas on the fire. Should we stick our heads in the sand? Hell no. Should we work to improve things things? Heavens yes. Let’s start by improving our attitude.

  3. Lisa says:

    “Can things be fixed?”

    No.

Which is great news. Why fix something that is broken? Why fix a system that is not working? Why fix a world that is not real?

Let me today accept all things exactly as they are.

Herein lies the adventure. This is the journey. This is how it looks. Enlightenment is not a change at all, it is a RECOGNITION that truth is true, and everything else is false.

    Thank God.

  4. Angel says:

Worlds are colliding. The old sad world is leaving. The new happy world is arriving. We are feeling and seeing the labor pains of the baby world being birthed. Enough of us chose to focus on the light, now we are seeing the reflection of our efforts. We are all sparks of the same source. We were given the gift to choose. We chose to see a new world. Now we can choose what the new world will look like. It’s up to us. What kind of heaven on earth do you want to see? See that.

  5. lori says:

I am a living example of the shit hitting the fan. I am the one Lisa mentioned in her blog this morning — the who was served foreclosure papers yesterday. My idea of “fixed” is to live in a place I can afford, doing whatever it is God wants me to do to be of service.
Here is mortgage company’s idea of “fixing the problem.” Re-modify my loan — if I can come up with one month’s mortage RIGHT THIS SECOND. Then, if I can do that, which I haven’t been able to do for 8 months, which is why I’m in this pickle in the first place, then why if I can do that, they can reduce my interest to a mortage I still can’t afford.
My idea of fixing the problem, once again, is to live a life I can afford and inm which I am doing God’s idea of God’s work for me. I know the second half of the equation is correct and I’m thinking the first half makes a lot of sense (living a life I can afford).
So my solution is to make my mother’s cottage liveable — sheet rock, etc — and again, do God’s will for me.
Intrestingly, about 4 hours before I was served the foreclosure papers, a woman I had never met before, answerd an ad for my company’s open job slot as baker. Less than 5 minutes after she walked through my front gate, she declared that she and her husband and kids went through foreclosure last year and that when they did, they had “nothing” so they played games and ate a lot of dinners together.
“And do you know,” she told me “Looking back it was one of the best years of our lives.”
So what Lisa said is happening — people are forming old-fashioned family structures. Friends are leaning on each other. My friends are givng each other food from their gardnes and clothing from their closests and trading physical labor.
I guess what I’m trying to say is I don’t want to “Give up hope” but it seems a lot easier to let go of what does indeed seem unfixable — and enter into a new way of life and interaction that is do-able.
I don’t want to live in a house of cards anymore.

  6. Jim says:

    Lori,

I’m sorry to hear about your situation. I was ill a couple of years ago and ran up a ton of debt while unable to work and more debt trying to get back into the flow. My finances are not a pretty picture, but they are my responsibility and mine alone. Maybe i was unlucky or made bad decisions or not, but it’s my reality. Neither the government nor society owes me anything. If the world isn’t real, why are so many making so much noise about nothing?I guess i was trying to say that if it’s real, let’s ask for God’s help and do what we can to fix it and do what we can to help each other. If it’s not real, what’s there to talk about?

  7. lori says:

    Jim,

I don’t think the govenment owes me anything. I don’t think society owes me anything. I am simply saying that the morgage company’s idea of fixing the problem is not my idea of a solution so I am lifting myself out of the problem. It’s like a bad marriage. Why stick around in counseling, going round and round and round — when everyone is better off simply saying goodbye. Some situations need to be allowed to fall apart was what I was trying to say. Morgages that are unaffordable for me or anyone else are not going to work if they are unafforadable.
That is my version of seeing and accepting things exactly as they are, asking for help, and moving on to a better situation.

    Lori

  8. Jim says:

    Lori,

    I understand. God bless you!!!

    Jim

  9. Wendy says:

Wars. The Great Depression. Plagues. Etc. Etc. History just keeps repeating itself. The lesson comes over and over again until we get it. On every level…..global, national, communities, personal finances, love life, friendships…. all relationships. We just keep creating different scenerios.

We learn these lessons (or keep going thru them) on every level. We are here to help ourselves and others (and vice versa) learn to love ourself again. To remember who we really are…. to wake up from our dream of separation. Once we do that, there is nothing to fix! That’s why we felt the need to incarnate in the first place, we felt that we could “fix” something that was a dream to begin with! We are dream critiques! How insane is that?!?!?!

Here’s to getting it this time round! Wake up! Spread the love.

  10. P. M. says:

For some strange reason, I have never felt safer. This shift means monumental change. I have very little money…I think? I am sustained by the Love of God. I must know and believe that every day. We all are, no matter what. You are all in my thoughts and prayers, and never forgotten.

  11. max says:

remember , you wake up in the morning and you are still you . nothing has happened . you are just you , watching and reacting to the scenes that your body’s eyes see . yet they see nothing real . nothing is happening here good or bad .
    max

  12. Miri says:

No matter what seems to happen, good bad or indiferent, the sun still sets in the evening and rises in the morning. For everyone. Not just the rich or the pious or the poor. If we ask God for money to pay our mortgages or for a fix to our problems, I doubt He’ll know what we’re talking about. When my brother was 2 years old he accidentally stepped on his hand and couldn’t set himself free, and he was crying in total panic. My mother simply helped him get his foot off his hand and he was totally happy again in one split second. Right now all I’m asking is for divine perception so we may all see the conditions around us as God would see them, and actually be amused by them. It’s our creation!! We can chose again THIS INSTANT in our minds and hearts, without judgment, and things “out there” will begin to change, at least for us. Then it would spread to everyone else. I agree with Lisa – this is IT, gang, the waiting is over. The preparation is over. We’re witnessing the end of time as we knew it, and, like blessed Angel says, the pain we seem to share is the birthing of the new world.
We are all loved, loving, and lovable always.
