That's how I grew up - the teachers were in a separate strata, all wise and mysterious. In a way it would be less distracting if you stuck to the lessons, but it would also be a little cold, like Who-Is-This-Lisa-The-Untouchable. I think what you share of your personal life IS part of the lessons. It brings it all down to earth, to the stuff we touch and feel within our own individual lives. It demonstrates vividly how the lessons work for you in your life. If I had the guts to share details of my personal life perhaps others would benefit from my way of doing or not doing things and how I apply the lessons to my conditions. We are all in this soup together, all teaching each other whether we broadcast it or not. And what struck me about your comments today is that I too am beginning to realize that I don't need to set time aside to meditate or pray when I'm horribly busy, but what I do and the way I do it is a prayer in itself, every instant, and it produces results!
