Sunday morning. A beautiful day. I’ve been working crazy long shifts these past 3 days. Today is a 12-hour shift! Good God. I only have a few minutes to write. I’m asking myself “What have I gotten myself into?” and then I laugh like crazy. I must have asked for this. My friend Greta says: NEXT TIME, BE MORE SPECIFIC.
haha.
I’m always getting what I ask for. I asked to have more money, to travel, to be active, and to be visible with people interacting with face-to-face.
LOL.
And I landed at Costco 50, miles away, selling women’s clothing.
Next time, be more specific!

You are knowing what you are wanting?

Really?
If I am bound, my Father is not free.
This is a great lesson:
If I accept that I am prisoner within a body, in a world in which all things that seem to live appear to die, then is my Father (God) prisoner with me. And this do I believe, when I maintain the laws the world obeys must I obey; the frailties and the sins which I perceive are real, and cannot be escaped. If I am bound in any way, I do not know my Father nor my Self. And I am lost to all reality. For truth is free, and what is bound is not a part of truth.
Father, I ask for nothing but the truth I have had many foolish thoughts about myself and my creation, and have brought a dream of fear into my mind. Today, I would not dream. I choose the way to You instead of madness and instead of fear. For truth is safe, and only love is sure.
You’re not a body. You are Spirit. What are you asking for? What do you want?
FORM DOES NOT MATTER. There is only you here, observing.
Once you’ve observed something with the body’s eyes, the next immediate step that follows is perception, judging, and categorizing.
But what if you didn’t bother with the form? What if you ignored it? What if you knew that in this moment – THIS ONE – you have everything you want. WHAT IF YOU KNEW.
You can be anything you want in any moment.
Why?
Because you’re not a body.
This is not a concept. It’s an actual gift that I am giving to you.
You’ve heard it a million times, but do you know it? Is freedom your experience? Do you KNOW you’re not a body?
Carlos Castaneda calls it Stalking.
You stalk the feeling you want, and then your body transforms. You become whatever you want to become IN THAT INSTANT simply by feeling it. You can go from old and sick to young and beautiful in one second if you desire it .
Why?
Because you’re not a body.
You are not a prisoner within a body. You are not slave to time. You are not bound by worldly laws you have made up.
You are eternal, free, whole and perfect.
Carlos Castaneda calls your body “your disguise” and you can make it whatever you want to make it, in any minute. Whatever you want to be is what you’ll be. You stalk all the characteristics of the thing you want to become, and then you become those characteristics.
It’s the easiest thing in the world to do.
If you want to be innocent, happy and gorgeous, then just be it.
If you want to be a miserable, old smelly hunchback, you can be that too.
This is your dream.
STALKING

The art of stalking is learning all the quirks of your disguise. To learn them so well no one will know you are disguised. For that you need to be ruthless, cunning, patient, and sweet.
Stalking is an art applicable to everything. There are four steps to learning it: ruthlessness, cunning, patience, and sweetness. Ruthlessness should not be harshness, cunning should not be cruelty, patience should not be negligence, and sweetness should not be foolishness. These four steps have to be practiced and perfected until they are so smooth they are unnoticeable.

The very first principle of stalking is that a warrior stalks himself. He stalks himself ruthlessly, cunningly, patiently, and sweetly.
Stalking is the art of using behavior in novel ways for specific purposes. Normal human behavior in the world of everyday life is routine. Any behavior that brakes from routine causes an unusual effect on our total being. That unusual effect is what sorcerers seek, because it is cumulative.
The sorcerer seers of ancient times, through their seeing , first noticed that unusual behavior produced a tremor in the assemblage point. They soon discovered that if unusual behavior was practiced systematically and directed wisely, it eventually forced the assemblage point to move.
The real challenge for those sorcerer seers, was finding a system of behavior that was neither petty nor capricious, but that combined the morality and the sense of beauty which differentiates sorcerer seers from plain witches.
Anyone who succeeds in moving his assemblage point to a new position is a sorcerer. And from that new position, he can do all kinds of good and bad things to his fellow men. Being a sorcerer, therefore, can be like being a cobbler or a baker. The quest of sorcerer seers is to go beyond that stand. And to do that, they need morality and beauty.
For sorcerers, stalking is the foundation on which everything else they do is built. It is the art of controlled folly.

Sorcerers constantly stalk themselves. The sensation of being bottled up is experienced by every human being. It is a reminder of our existing connection with intent . For sorcerers this sensation is even more acute, precisely because their goal is to sensitize their connecting link until they can make it function at will.
When the pressure of their connecting link is too great, sorcerers relieve it by stalking themselves. Stalking is a procedure, a very simple one. Stalking is special behavior that follows certain principles. It is secretive, furtive, deceptive behavior designed to deliver a jolt. And, when you stalk yourself you jolt yourself, using your own behavior in a ruthless, cunning way.
When a sorcerer’s awareness becomes bogged down with the weight of his perceptual input, the best, or even perhaps the only, remedy is to use the idea of death to deliver that stalking jolt.

A.I.G. Uses $61 Billion of Fed Loan

The American International Group announced on Friday that it had already drawn down $61 billion of the $85 billion emergency bridge loan it received from the Federal Reserve two weeks ago, an announcement that startled credit ratings agencies.
The emergency loan was supposed to buy the company time to sell its troubled assets in an orderly manner. But the sell-off has not yet begun, and now the insurer faces the additional pressure of trying to sell the businesses at a time when potential buyers are having trouble borrowing money.
“It’s kind of a Rubik’s Cube,” said A.I.G’s chief executive, Edward M. Liddy. “We need to be very flexible” because of the fluid economic environment.
He said that in addition to using the $85 billion Fed loan, A.I.G. would be able to participate in the $700 billion bailout program signed into law by President Bush on Friday. The additional help from the Treasury might ease some of its financial burdens, Mr. Liddy said.

I’m not going to lie to you: I’m totally discouraged and baffled.
But you know: it’s like a pocket of energy. I just have to go through it. This is what is happening right now. I’m always reminded that TRUST is the first characteristic of a Teacher of God.

You can see the reality behind the weirdest of today’s weird opportunities and you won’t jump on any of them. If anyone asks, counsel patience, because you can see that things aren’t what they seem to be.
Do I want to stand on my feet for 6 hour shifts and travel 2 hours to get to work?
Not really.
Well, actually YES! Wait a second. YES, I WOULD.
When I put it that way, it’s exactly what I want: to stand on my feet, travel, dress up in beautiful clothes, and get paid to do it.
I would like to stand on my feet for 6 hours talking about God, getting paid, and traveling two hours a day to get to you. That actually does sound fun.
I’m reminded what Abraham says through Esther Hicks: that the universe doesn’t know form. It only knows feeling. It doesn’t know the difference between me showing up at a Costco and me showing up at a book signing event as an author who inspires people. The universe does not know form. It only know the frequency vibration of energy (feeling & emotion) behind the form.
It only know if I’m sulking in a slow vibration OR if I’m enthusiastically happy in a fast vibration.
Amazing.
The universe doesn’t know about physicality. The universe doesn’t care about form because the universe doesn’t know about form. It only knows energy.
The universe is thought.
Okay, I’m not discouraged or baffled anymore. That’s a miracle too.
I’m going to make people happy today … and get paid to do it!
See how this works? Change your mind and the world changes.
I’m always constantly being reminded: Don’t attempt to change the circumstance. Change your mind about the circumstance.
How is this accomplished? How long does it take?

In the holy instant, in which you see yourself as bright with freedom, you WILL remember God. For remembering Him IS to remember freedom. Whenever you are tempted to be dispirited by the thought of HOW LONG it would take to change your mind so completely, ask yourself, “How long is an instant?” Could you not give so SHORT a time to the Holy Spirit, for your Salvation? He asks no more, for He has no need of more. It takes far longer to teach you how to be willing to GIVE Him this, than for Him to use this tiny instant to offer you the whole of Heaven. In exchange for this instant, He stands ready to give you the remembrance of Eternity.
Let me not bind your Son with laws I made.
This lesson is directed towards me today: Let me not bind MYSELF with laws I made.
I am the Son of God. Let me not bind myself with laws I’ve made.
This 10-day job is going to be really intense. I started last night. It’s at Costco and I’m required to stand on my feet the whole time (no sitting!) with 4 racks of clothes.
Thank you God. The only way I can get through the 10-days is to think of it like MILITARY BOOTCAMP TRAINING. Like when Don Juan instructs Carlos Castaneda to sit still for days without moving.
It’s like going into the desert where you are faced with no distractions, and all that’s left is your own mind.
What does today’s lesson say? GOD’S SON IS FREE.
I AM FREE.

You are not bound my laws you’ve made. All experiences are whatever you decide to make of them for yourself. You choose the feelings you would experience.
It should be evident by now that your attitude is the ONLY important thing in life. It doesn’t matter what you are doing in any given moment, but how do you feel about it??
If you think it’s going to suck, it’s going to suck.
And if you decide it’s going to be a fun adventure, it will be a fun adventure.
I have no idea what anything is for. I am going to make the best of this situation.
I am not bound by anything except by my beliefs.
I am not slave to time.
I remain as God created me, and I know no law except the law of love.
I am free because I am my Father’s Son.
There are no accidents.
Your Son is free, my Father. Let me not imagine I have bound him with the laws I made to rule the body. He is not subject to any laws I made by which I try to make the body more secure. He is not changed by what is changeable. He is not slave to any laws of time. He is as You created him, because he knows no law except the law of love.
Let us not worship idols, nor believe in any law idolatry would make to hide the freedom of the Son of God. He is not bound except by his beliefs. Yet what he is, is far beyond his faith in slavery or freedom. He is free because he is his Father’s Son. And he cannot be bound unless God’s truth can lie, and God can will that He deceive Himself.
The Word of God is given me to speak.
All I do is remind you of your perfection. That’s my function. The Word of God is given me to speak. That’s my real job. It’s a privilege. Everything else is a front. Everything else is illusion.
God speaks. I listen. I receive. Then I give to you.
God gives to me. I give to you.
I have come to remind you of your wholeness. You are not a body. This world is not your home. You are pure and holy as God created you.
Father, Your Word is mine. And it is this that I would speak to all my brothers, who are given me to cherish as my own, as I am loved and blessed and saved by You.
This lesson is a reminder that the Word of God is not for you alone. God speaks to you that you will extend His Word to others. Some people get confused on this point. They think the gifts & miracles that are given are for them alone. They meditate (or read spiritual books) that they might feel peace and joy, but if you don’t give peace and joy away to others, you will suffer.
That peace and joy is quickly taken away from you.

It’s a great reminder that if God gives you something, then give it away and it will be increased.
If you bury your talents or treasures, they will be taken away from you.

If you receive the light without extending it, the light turns dark in your body.
YOU MUST EXTEND IT.
Keep it flowing.
It’s like water that is flowing that is suddenly dammed by beavers. Have you ever been to a beaver dam? The water above the dam is stalled and doesn’t move. A beaver dam stops the flow.
And so it is with you. If you don’t extend the light, it starts to go rotten in your body. If you are sick, ask yourself if you are isolating yourself. Sickness is isolation.
And on the opposite end of the scale, when you extend the light … IT GETS BRIGHTER!
From A Course in Miracles, Chapter 7, Section 10:
Do not withhold your gifts to the Sonship, or you withhold yourself from God. Selfishness is of the ego but self-fullness is of the Soul because that is how He created it.
The Soul does not wish to contain God, but to extend His Being.
The extension of God’s Being is the Soul’s only function. It’s fullness cannot be contained any more than can the fullness of its Creator. Fullness is extension. The ego’s whole thought system BLOCKS extension, and therefore blocks YOUR ONLY FUNCTION. It therefore blocks your joy, and THIS is why you perceive yourself as unfulfilled. Unless you create, you are unfulfilled.
So the question to you is: Are you extending the light that you receive? Or are you blocking it in your body and keeping it all for yourself?
If you feel unfulfilled, it means you are blocking it the light.
If you feel joyless, it means that you have stalled the light in your body.
A lot of people hold on to what they have out of fear. They are afraid to give the little they have thinking there will be nothing left for themselves.
The bible says: BE FRUITFUL AND MULTIPLY.
The King James version uses the word “multiply” 42 times!
It’s great advice. Extend and multiply.
Be careful when you block the light! If you keep it for yourself it will start to go dark and creates all sorts of havoc. You must extend it. Light is very powerful. If you try to contain it in one small location (like your body), it will start to destroy you.
You can’t play dumb anymore. I’m telling you precisely what happens if you clutch to something for yourself, thinking you need it for future safety. If you lay up treasures on earth, they will rust and thieves will steal them (Matthew 6)
I have seen it happen many times. People start to turn in on themselves. They’ve been given all the light in the universe to extend to others, but instead (perhaps because they don’t know any better), they stall it within their body and it goes dark.
Reach out to your brother. Give him a hand. Give him a listening ear. Help him. Smile. Call him. Write a letter. Extend the light that you are. Be helpful.
From Chapter 18, Section 4:
In your relationship, you have joined with me in bringing Heaven to the Son of God, who hid in darkness. You have been willing to bring the darkness to light, and this willingness has given strength to everyone who would REMAIN in darkness. Those who would see WILL see. And they will join with me in carrying THEIR light into the darkness, when the darkness in them is OFFERED to the light, and is removed forever. My need for you, joined WITH me in the holy light of your relationship, is YOUR need for salvation. Would I not give you what you gave to me? For when you joined each other, you answered ME.
You who are now the bringers of salvation, have the function of bringing light to darkness. The darkness in you HAS been brought to light. Carry it back TO darkness, from the holy instant to which you BROUGHT it. We are made whole in our desire to make whole.
Newsflash: I got hired for a 10-day job at a clothing show in Madison, WI.
It starts tomorrow. I’m excited. I’m in charge of organizing the clothes and selling them, something I’ve never done before, but how difficult can it be? I’m naturally enthusiastic and I love interacting with people so the job sounds like playtime for children.
I think it’s going to be fun.
I’m mostly excited because getting this job has caused a tremendous shift in my energy. THANK THE LORD! I’ve spent the last few months dressed mostly in oversized clothes, baggy jeans, no makeup and scraggly unconditioned hair. Which, by the way, is NOT at all my natural energy.
FYI: It’s not anyone’s natural energy.
We are designed to SHINE.
You know when you are out of your natural element. You just do. You can’t fool yourself. You know when you are at a weight that is your not your natural weight. You know when you are wearing colors that do not suit you. You know when you are working a job that is completely wrong for you.
And at the other end of the scale, you know when things are flowing and miraculous.
So I got hired for this job – and I actually said “no” at first because it is 40 miles away. But the woman called me on the phone and said “We really want you. What if we pay travel expenses? Would that make a difference?”
Well, yes. That would make a difference. I felt like the Holy Spirit was shining a light for me, illuminating the path. A Course in Miracles says “You will be shown which doors are open, and which doors are closed.” There I was rejecting the job (which is insane in itself, since I really could use the money) and the owner calls me back with an offer to pay my travel expenses! It was as if the universe was saying, Hey Lisa, this is the door you need to walk though. It’s right here. You’re looking right at it. It’s open. Walk through it.
So I said “yes” and immediately I panicked because I don’t have a single thing to wear. I’m not exaggerating. I DON’T HAVE ONE SINGLE APPROPRIATE PIECE OF CLOTHING OR PROPER SHOES FOR THIS JOB.
But there was a voice today that said “Go to Goodwill” and so off I went.
I found the most unbelievably beautiful outfits with the tags still attached and two brand-new, never-been-worn pairs of shoes, all for $21.
What an adventure.
I tried the clothes on in the dressing room and my whole appearance transformed before my eyes. I looked in the mirror and someone spectacularly gorgeous was staring back at me. WHOA. Who’s the babe? Is it me?
What a shock.
I was there all the time and didn’t know it.
During the 10-day show, we are asked to wear their clothing – a cardigan sweater, a shawl or one of their shirts – so everything I need is given.
Are Changes Required in the Life Situations of God’s Teachers?
“Changes are required in the minds of God’s teachers. This may or may not involve changes in the external situation. Remember that no one is where he is by accident, and chance plays no part in God’s plan. It is most unlikely that changes in attitude would not be the first step in the newly made teacher of God’s training. There is, however, no set pattern, since training is always highly individualized. There are those who are called upon to change their life situation almost immediately, but these are generally special cases. By far the majority are given a slowly evolving training program, in which as many previous mistakes as possible are corrected. Relationships in particular must be properly perceived, and all dark cornerstones of unforgiveness removed. Otherwise the old thought system still has a basis for return.”
Ha.
So I am thrilled that my over-sized baggy clothes days are over. I don’t think I could have made the transition by myself. I needed to be forced to do this. I required a change in my life situation. Thank you, Lord.

God’s healing Voice protects all things today.
This day has been chosen as the time when we will seek and hear and learn and understand.
If you have been following the workbook lessons faithfully, you’ll notice that the mind starts to get lazy within the practice of the daily lessons.
You know how when you first start a difficult task (or begin a new job, or enter into a new relationship), in the beginning your mind is really focused? Everything is so brand new that your mind is super alert.
But then after a day or two, or a week, or a month, you get used to the newness and suddenly you start to get lazy again. Every time you reach a new frequency of energy, at first it will surprise you, delight you and thrill you, but very soon your mind will get bored with that new location.
So, please! Pay attention!
Let this day be a new day for you. Forget the past. Forget the future. Wash the slate clean and come into this moment with empty hands and open eyes.
Forget everything you think I’ve taught you here at Gorgeous for God. Forget everything you’ve read. Forget how far you think you’ve come, and forget how far you think you have to go. Simply be here in this day – here & now – and let this day be the totality of Heaven for you.
Most people have a tendency to fall back asleep when they reach new levels. You’ll keep falling asleep again if you do not stay constantly alert.
I remember there was a time in my life when I stopped getting sick. I used to be sick all the time – either hungover, or with the flu, or some stomach ailment, or a skin condition, or a headache. There was always something calling for my attention.
I stayed fairly alert while I was sick because I wanted a miracle and so I was always thinking of Jesus because I needed his help.
If you’re honest with yourself, you’ll notice that you think of God and Jesus most frequently when you are at the bottom of the barrel and things are going wrong.
One day, it occurred to me that I hadn’t been sick for a very long time – a year at least. Being well was suddenly my new way of life, it was the new frequency I lived in, and I was amazed that what was promised me in A Course in Miracles had been given to me.
I didn’t even really notice the miracle as it occurred in the process, but about one year later I thought: Huh, wow, look at that, I never get sick anymore.
Then I was was grateful, appreciative and happy.
This is what it means to be in a higher frequency. The old world falls away. Usually you won’t even notice when your world changes.
In the new frequency I stopped drinking alcohol. I stopped eating meat. I stopped being jealous all the time. This is personal for me. I don’t know how it will work for you.
But after a while, I started getting really lazy in this new space.
If you have ever received a miracle, then you know all about this. It’s interesting for about 5 seconds, and then you fall asleep again. For example, you’ll get a grand demonstration that Jesus is present with you, and you’re thanking the Heavens that He answered your prayers, and then within a very short time, you forget all about it and you’re back to complaining about your problems and your bills.
So, today’s lesson is another good reminder to let this day be a new beginning for you, and to stay alert.
THIS DAY HAS BEEN CHOSEN WHEN WE WILL SEEK AND HEAR AND LEARN AND UNDERSTAND.
God, Your healing Voice protects all things today, and so I leave all things to You. I need be anxious over nothing. For Your Voice will tell me what to do and where to go; to whom to speak and what to say to him, what thoughts to think, what words to give the world. The safety that I bring is given me. Father, Your Voice protects all things through me.
