Conflicting wishes cannot be my will.
A Course in Miracles is so amazing to me. It’s absolutely changes everything!! It doesn’t just change your life a little … it changes it completely. It doesn’t tweak a few of your personality traits nor make minor adjustments. It transforms your life so completely that not one thing remains the same.
Either I am in a place of total joy experiencing the Will of my Father
or
I’m in hell, trying to figure out what to do next.
These are the choices. In every minutes I have the power to change my mind. There is always another way of thinking. Another way of seeing. As long as I stay in a space where I am recognizing that I seek only the Father, then I am happy. Joyously happy. Crazy happy.
And when I am not happy that is a flashing red warning signal that I am following another will.
How simple!
My Father’s Will for me is happiness!
There are endless possibilities in every situation!
Conflicting wishes cannot be my will. My Father’s Will is mine, and only that. There is no other will for me to have.
“Let me not try to make another will, for it is senseless and will me pain.”
Duh. Well that’s simple! Another will will cause me pain. If I am in pain, then I am not following my Father’s Will. This doesn’t get any easier. A child can understand this.
If I am not happy, then something has gone wrong.
“If miracles are not occurring, something has gone wrong.”
My natural state is one of pure joy and it is this I choose to follow today.
“I must accept Your Will for me, and enter into peace where conflict is impossible.”
Conflict is impossible!
I am over here laughing. This is great. Conflict is impossible. Joy is my inheritance. Other wills are senseless and will cause me pain.
These are the basics. Here is the simplicity of God’s Word. Nothing contradicts the truth. I remain perfect as God created me.
“And with this prayer we enter silently into a state where conflict cannot come, because we join our holy will with God’s, in recognition that they are the same.”
