Life is famous for throwing curve-balls. Be alert.

Lesson 144 from the Gorgeous for God Membership site:

My mind holds only what I think with God.

There is no love but God’s.
The world I see holds nothing that I want.

This is so true. I’m not even here anymore. Every day I wake up and I’m in paradise. My mind holds only what I think with God. Love is all there is. The world I see holds nothing that I want.

A Course in Miracles is 100% true. Jesus gives what he promises.

You have an inheritance. Have you claimed it yet?

The only way to to do this work is to do this work. Trying to understand will get you no where. If I say something that produces a change in you, you probably notice that eventually you start sliding back down into your old thinking and old routine. This is because the only fundamental change that lasts is change that comes from your own conscious active work. I can’t help you in any way. I’m just the messenger. You have to do the work. I can’t do it for you. No one can do it for you. Change that comes from outside is no change at all. You’ve probably already witnessed this in your own life.

Random effects are nothing. They come and they go, and they are nothing.

Lots of times people get excited by something I say and they go “YES!!! Oh my God! That’s it!” … but that’s not it. As you probably have already witnessed. Why is it, you’re asking yourself, can’t I experience any consistency in my life? Why do I get it, only to lose it again?

Because the work is nonstop. You cannot merely alter your behavior. THIS IS CORE WORK. You are building a foundation in stone – not merely putting a new coat of paint on your life. You cannot allow yourself to get lazy. And no one can do the work for you. No one. I don’t care how brilliant a teacher you have – you are responsible for the shifts that occur.

Stone by stone. Brick by brick.

Most people like A Course in Miracles on a merely superficial intellectual level. It sounds good. They are intrigued by it. But almost no one actually wants to do the work. THE WORK.

You’ll know if you are doing the work if you are seeing dramatic miracles in your life. Are dramatic miracles occurring in your life?

If you are just moving along, reading this blog, reading the Course, waiting for something to happen … you missed it. You are absolutely no where.

I hope this pisses you off. I hope to stir you up.

YOU NEED CONSCIOUS EFFORT IF YOU EXPECT TO ESCAPE THIS WORLD.

If you are drifting along, you need to shake yourself up again. There is no other way.

Either you can produce something in your life that it is going to shake off the sleepiness in you and grab your attention, or the universe will send you something as a wake-up call. It’s better to do this from your own conscious effort. Stuff that the universe sends in usually will blind-side you. But sometimes … there is no other way.

LIFE IS FAMOUS FOR THROWING CURVE-BALLS.

So be alert.

If you are just rolling along, not consistently happy but not making conscious effort to keep vigilantly doing the work … be careful. Shit happens.

If this makes you nervous, good! Use that energy. Stay on your toes.

Good stuff Lisa…being aware and open is key…In my life, I am seeing the connections with things – and how I could have handled something differently…even in screwing up…I learn – because from the pain & suffering…change comes…without me being willful but just from seeing & realization..realization – which is honestly…seems to send a proper msg to heaven that I am ready for more understanding…now, with more understanding being given…I can watch myself and respond better for the next time & so on…

Thanks for sharing some of your life experiences – I really appreciate it…Best regards,

    Debbie

    Hi Lisa,
I just love the stuff you’ve been sharing, it’s been helping me in my own walk…sometimes you make me crack up out loud which I love…because I do take doing the work seriously and need to break it up. Btw, have you ever read some of Madam Guyon’s writings…she said alot of neat things about actually experiencing God when you are in quiet prayer…kind of like what Jesus said about “Be still and know”. Everyone needs to go within to truly experience Him…of course thoughts need to be gently observed for this to occur properly…it’s a process. It’s about turning the light on & going to the source to charge the battery. Love, Debbie
