You’re awake. Now what?

From A Course in Miracles, Chapter 9:

How can you become increasingly aware of the Holy Spirit in you, EXCEPT by His EFFECTS? You cannot see Him with your eyes, nor hear Him with your ears. How, then, can you perceive Him at all? If you INSPIRE joy, and others react to you WITH joy, even though you are not experiencing joy yourself, there must be SOMETHING IN YOU that IS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING IT.

It seems to you that the Holy Spirit does not produce joy consistently in you, ONLY because YOU DO NOT CONSISTENTLY AROUSE JOY IN OTHERS.

Josh Accetta, a good friend of mine and a Teacher of God, sent out a letter yesterday which I would like to share with you. He has a communication center which is both a physical center in Spain, and also a satellite throughout the world through facebook, audios, videos, etc. where there is a provision been set up to join with others who have dedicated their life to God. The center, up until yesterday, was mostly a place of awakening. But almost all the guys there have been realizing for the past several months THEY ARE AWAKE. And this is important, because I think a lot of people in the world are having this exact same experience. Perhaps you are having this experience. You finally realize, OKAY, I’M AWAKE. NOW WHAT???

Josh’s letter is a nice declaration of a new moment (below, in blue)

Always in a long journey there comes a time when you finally arrive (finally!!) and the driver announces: “OKAY, WE’RE HERE!

Usually (hopefully) there is someone in the car (or in the plane) who knows where they are going. You as the passenger might have NO CLUE where you are or where you are going, but 9 times out of 10, someone in the vehicle knows the route and the destination. And there comes that moment, when the driver announces: OKAY, WE’RE HERE.

The driver is the Holy Spirit who has been leading you gently back to the remembrance of your Identity in God: healed, whole and perfect. To “know thyself” is the final destination.

If it’s been an especially long trip (in the case of a road trip or a spiritual journey) most passengers are grumpy, tired and disoriented . A lot of guys are sound asleep, and have to be woken up. Then there’s the action of stretching your legs, checking out your new surroundings, and you might not have a clue where you are, etc. You might even think the vehicle is still moving and that you’re still in transit and that you’ve got miles and miles to go. That’s quite common.

But you’re hearing an announcement over the loud speaker that you’ve arrived in the new location.

And that’s what this letter is. It is an announcement: WE’RE HERE. YOU’RE AWAKE. THE JOURNEY IS ACCOMPLISHED. TIME TO TAKE YOUR PLACE AS THE SAVIOR. TIME TO AROUSE CONSISTENT JOY IN OTHERS. TIME TO GIVE AS YOU HAVE RECEIVED. TIME TO BE THE HAPPY LEARNER OF THE ATONEMENT. TIME TO BE YOURSELF AS GOD CREATED YOU.

So here is the letter.

From Josh Accetta (el Portal is the name of the center in Spain, and he’s addressing the guys that have been there with him, but I feel this letter is relevant to anyone who has been following a spiritual path “waiting” to wake up, wondering when you are going to “arrive” and answering the question: now what?

As of this moment, we are entering a new sequence of association in time wherein which the Gifts of the Kingdom will be both demonstrated and recognized universally.

el portal is no longer a provision for awakening which HAS been accomplished in you. a new vision has been granted in which el portal is now a platform for the successful completion of the assignment given you by God.

el portal will remain a Source of Certainty for as long as necessary, and will continue to provide the immediate availability of the Alternative in the Form that is appropriate for the teacher of God who is using it as a platform.

as teachers united in both purpose and Self recognition, we share and thereby enhance the Light and Love of our individual relationship with God and with each other, making It available to any and all who are given us by Him.

in this regard, you will be EXPECTED to demonstrate the ability to transcend all seeming conflict (sickness and death) for the benefit of those who have yet to accept that a choice is available which can and must be made by everyone sooner or later. remember that the miracle worker simply saves time…

i love you and profoundly grateful for the commitment and service each of you has demonstrated in the miraculous history of el portal!

this is a new cycle, the way has been prepared for you to complete your function and remember God…
