I love Lesson 72: Holding grievances is an attack on God’s plan for salvation.
Today’s lesson is a reminder that holding grievances is NOT an innocent neutral thing. It is an ACTIVE ATTACK on God’s Plan.
While I hold grievances about my brother and my self, I am actively attacking God.
And THAT I no longer want to do! I want to let all my grievances go.
Did you listen to this week’s Max and Lisa show? It’s a good one.

Max says some really brilliant things about being happy. The guy is a genius.
I talk about how I still catch myself having grievances. They often happen in the morning in the shower while I am washing my hair. Go figure. I start “thinking” about things – events that are either past or future – and my mind just runs rampant.
I start thinking about things I could say or do to so-and-so that would make me look right or make someone else feel bad. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?? Who does this???? I mean, this is the HEIGHT OF INSANITY. Who in their right mind would want to hurt themselves or their brother??? And yet, there I am in the shower contemplating scenerios to get even.
INSANE!!!!!!
I thank God for A Course in Miracles. It shortens time. the time factor that hold grievances is less and less. I am usually able to catch a grievance/attack thought and let it go in under 5 minutes. Sometimes I can do it in under a minute! Hooray for Jesus!
The beautiful part is that if you are able to bring yourself to the point where you CAN CATCH A THOUGHT WHILE YOU ARE THINKING IT, then the correction is very simple and very fast. The problem most people have is that they don’t catch a thought they just let themselves go on automatic pilot thinking out the scenerios of their life for a day or a week or a month or a year. That’s why the workbook lessons are SO BRILLIANT. At least if you are doing them on a daily basis, you will only go 24 hours AT MOST before you remember the truth by opening the book and reading the lesson.
I am so grateful.
