You’re being pursued by God.

Almost everyone in the world is chasing after something, searching for something, looking, seeking … and A Course in Miracles says … “never finding.

You’ve probably spent much of your life pursuing something or someone.

“Chasing after something” is the condition of the world. Many pursue happiness. They pursue love. They pursue God. Seeking and Searching. And never finding.

There is a false idea that “if only” you can get what you want (or find what you want) then you’ll be happy – if only you got the job, the degree, more money, the girl of your dreams, the guy of your dreams, had more recognition, better health, etc. then all would be good.

And then, here’s the weird thing: You finally DO get what you want, prayed for, and wished for (the promotion, the relationship, the house of your dreams) and almost immediately you’re bored by it and then you’re off searching for the next thing that will make you happy. Be honest.

Doesn’t that make you pause and wonder???

Meanwhile …. in the middle of all this meaningless activity … GOD IS IN HOT PURSUIT OF YOU.

That’s why you NEED DO NOTHING. Because He’s been chasing after you all this time, but you keep moving, oblivious that Someone has got their eye on you, and is chasing after you. Stand still and let Him catch you.

He’s what you really want.

What you have been chasing after all this time is chasing you.

Just stop and let God catch you. He’s in love with you. He longs to give you everything.

“For fifteen minutes twice today escape from every law in which you now believe. Open your mind and rest. The world that seems to hold you prisoner can be escaped by anyone who does not hold it dear. Withdraw all value you have placed upon its meager offerings and senseless gifts and let the gift of God replace them all.” – A Course in Miracles, Lesson 127
