Easter Week is a very powerful week – a time when we can consciously decide “to go to the cross” so that the resurrection can occur.
Jesus knew what he was doing. He went to the cross consciously, as his own decision. He knew what he was doing, he knew what he faced, he knew it was going to hurt, and he probably had hesitations wondering if there was some easier gentler way than laying down his whole body and his life. But he also knew that he was here on a mission from God.
He was captured and to be crucified and brought before his judge Pontius Pilate who I feel wanted to release Jesus, finding no fault with him saying ‘I find no basis for charge against this man.” I can imagine Pontius trying to give Jesus a way out – saying “look, I know you’re innocent and if you want to go, you can go”
But Jesus knew what he came for. He knew it was impossible to live in two worlds and it was time to lay down the identity and form so that God could take the final step – to prove once and for all there is no death, there is no sacrifice and no loss.
What if you were going to die this week? What if it was you in the Garden of Gethsemene? Would you die – would you lay down your life – for your immense Love for the world and for God?
I am pretty certain if you said YES to this, you would not hang on to your problems anymore.
For me, when I pondered this question in meditation, I felt a great amazing peace come over me.
So this week, I invite you to have a look if there is anything you are still carrying that is not of God – guilt, shame, blame, jealousy, hatred, resentments, doubt – and to lay them all down on the cross this week. If there some place where you are still keeping a space between you and your brother? Some place where you are blocking the light?
This is the week to allow all blocks to be removed.
To surrender completely.
To forgive everyone and everything entirely.
YES. IT WILL BE THE DEATH OF YOU.
But then there is the resurrection – where you are holding on to nothing, where you have surrendered completely, where you have let go of the past 100% – that’s when you rise up and live in Christ, with nothing holding you back anymore.

Jesus from the Gospel of Thomas: “There is a light within the man of light and it lights the whole world. If he does not shine it, he is in darkness. If you bring forth what is within you, it will save you. If you don’t bring forth what is within you it will destroy you.” His disciples asked “when will the Kingdom come?” and Jesus answered “It will not come by waiting for it. It will not be a matter of saying “here it is” or “there it is”. Rather the kingdom of the Father is spread about the earth, and men do not see it.”
I love this! We’ve got to bring forth the light and it will save us and light the whole world. If we do not bring forth the light, it will destroy us. The reason for this is light is very powerful and when you try to contain it, it turns dark.
Kinda like food in the fridge, you gotta eat it and if you don’t eat it, it turns bad and useless. It just sits there doing nothing but rotting. Same with the light within us, we must use it, shine it, extend it, put it on a candlestick and it will save us and the whole world. But if we don’t bring it forth, it will destroy us.
The other day I was in the car with Bill at a really busy intersection, waiting for the light to change to green. And it was a huge love fest in the car. We had just come from the gym and I was telling him how much I love him, and he was telling me how much he loves me, then we were talking about how much we love the gym, and he was talking about how great the sauna is, and we were laughing and in a really great mood and all of a sudden this gigantic white bird with huge wings spread out lowered itself until it was right in front of the windshield, looking right at us in the car!!!! Then it went higher, but kept hovering over us – just over our car!!! Then it would come back down lower, then higher. This was a 4-way huge intersection, with 4 lanes and it was only hovering over our car – and I felt like …. THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS IN THE VIBRATION OF LOVE!! Everything wants to join in it. The birds can feel it. Everyone and everything can FEEL it and rushes to it – and we have this power within us to allow every moment to be A LOVE FEST – to live in a state of excitement and joy and gratitude and share it with others.
This will be my topic today. Hope you can make it.

This is one of Helen Schucman’s poems. I absolutely love it. As I was reading it, I was thinking that anyone who would use this as a daily prayer would be completely transformed. So here it is, if you feel like printing it and using it as a beautiful reminder of the truth of Who you really are. I especially love the last two sentences!! I never left God. There was never a journey to begin with.
That’s like a the story of the fish looking for water asking “what is water?” and “where is water?” when he is swimming in it!

As usual, I love today’s lesson: The light has come. I am under no laws but God’s.
In choosing love (actively, deliberately, consciously) rather than attack, I merely CHOOSE to recognize what is already there. I love that. Salvation is a DECISION made already. AMEN. I’m so glad I have this power to choose and therefore I’m not a victim. Every day I choose what the day is going to be like based on my own decision. Nothing is happening, no one is doing anything to me, God is all there is and that’s all there is to see.
GOD IS ON THE FIELD. EVERY DAY IS A GOOD DAY.
“You are now tabernacling with God and his angels. Take the attitude of listening as if you really expected to hear a voice. Sooner or later there comes a deep breath, a “click,” sometimes a message, but usually something of a nature that brings release. The responsibility is gone and now rests on His shoulders. I found a gold-mine this week – Emma Curtis Hopkins, born in 1849.
Her teachings inspired the writings of Ernest Holmes, Florence Scovel Shinn, Joel Goldsmith, Charles & Myrtle Fillmore, Malinda Cramer and Nona Brooks. She is called a “teacher of teachers” because a number of her students (above) went on to found their own churches or to become prominent in the New Thought Movement. This is the book I am reading -Self Treatments. She says there is no world, there is nothing to fear, all things we see are images in our mind, and God is all.

My topic is based on a very powerful 8-week class I am taking at Unity on the River in Amesbury MA, which is transforming my life called Godseed (based on the book by Jean Houston)
This week is about betrayal and forgiveness. So I want to share it today on Gather. It is about looking at places where you feel you have been betrayed by others or where you have betrayed someone.
Is betrayal possible if every thing is part of a God’s Divine Plan and there are no accidents? Forgiveness washes the slate clean and allows us to see people and situations differently.

The Last Supper: Betrayal and Forgiveness
1. Matthew 8:13 “Go, and it will be done for you just as you have believed.” The experiences we have in our life are mirroring our beliefs. As Michael Mirdad said, our soul only wants us to grow or heal. It will attract situations that mirror our beliefs. We can then see what our beliefs have been holding and how they are affecting us.
2. Many of us believe we have been betrayed. Betrayal reflects a belief that somehow we deserve betrayal. We believe we are separate from God and thus “bad” things happen to us. Judas Iscariot represents betrayer. Recent discoveries inform us that actually Judas was working with Jesus for Jesus’ highest plan.
3. The Last Supper, or communion ceremony, will give us the opportunity to recognize where we have felt wounded or betrayed. These wounds or betrayals create an opening for new life, if we are ready for it. When we are wounded we can begin to shift our old beliefs and we can begin to shift them. Today we will break the bread as a symbol of our brokenness and then allow the juice, life energy, new life to enter into us. We will create a new vision based on a more evolved belief system. We will forgive.

I had a very funny moment this morning when I read today and tomorrow’s lesson in A Course in Miracles (yes, I read two lessons).
Let me recognize the problem so it can be solved.
Let me recognize my problems have been solved.
Lesson 80 says now that I realize my one problem – separation – has been solved, I am free from conflict.
I just laughed right out loud!
As some of you may know, in summer 2009 I made a huge declaration that “I’m done with conflict” and “I’m going to be happy, no matter what.” I thought I was doing something amazing, LOLOLOLOL. I really thought I invented this idea, as if I was doing something hugely unique & monumental. I had done the workbook lessons from start to finish about 8 times over 8 years, and I definitely had moments of joy and clarity but I was still struggling. I was still in conflict. So in summer 2009, I said ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, I’M DONE WITH CONFLICT. I’m going to be happy, no matter what.
So you can only imagine my shock this morning to find it’s right there on Lesson 80 on the 80th day. haha. How did I miss that?
“Now that I recognize my problem – separation – has been solved the problem must be gone, because God’s answer cannot fail.”
“Now let the peace that your acceptance brings be given you. Close your eyes, and receive your reward. Recognize that your problems have been solved. Recognize that you are out of conflict; free and at peace.”
BIG HUGE SMILE.
Thank you Jesus.
“Let us be determined not to collect grievances today. Let us be determined to be free of problems that do not exist. The means is simple honesty. Do not deceive yourself about what the problem is, and you must recognize it has been solved.”
What Jesus said to Helen Schucman: “The world situation is worsening to an alarming degree. People all over the world are being called on to help, and are making their individual contributions as part of an overall prearranged Plan. Part of the plan is taking down A Course in Miracles, and I am fulfilling my part in the agreement, as you will fulfill yours. You will be using abilities you developed long ago, and which you are not really ready to use again. Because of the acute emergency, however, the usual slow, evolutionary process is being by-passed in what might best be described as a “celestial speed-up.”
“Just as the Separation occurred over many millions of years, the Last Judgment will extend over a similarly long period, and perhaps even longer. Its length depends, however, on the effectiveness of the present speed-up. We have frequently noted that the miracle is a device for shortening but not abolishing time. If a sufficient number of people become truly miracle-minded quickly, the shortening process can be almost immeasurable. But it is essential that these individuals free themselves from fear sooner than would ordinarily be the case, because they MUST emerge from basic conflict if they are to bring peace to the minds of others. ” -A Course in Miracles

Whenever you decide to make decisions FOR YOURSELF, you are thinking self-destructively, and the decision WILL BE WRONG. It will hurt you, because of the CONCEPT of decision which led to it. It is not true that you can make decisions BY yourself, or FOR yourself alone. No thought of God’s Son CAN be separate, or isolated in its effects. Every decision is made for the WHOLE SONSHIP, directed in and out, and influencing a constellation larger than anything you ever dreamed of.
Say to the Holy Spirit only, “Decide for me,” and it is done.
For His decisions are reflections of WHAT GOD KNOWS ABOUT YOU, and in this light, error of ANY kind becomes impossible. Why would you struggle so frantically to anticipate all that you CANNOT know, when ALL knowledge lies behind EVERY decision that the Holy Spirit makes FOR YOU? Learn of His wisdom and His love, and teach His answer to everyone who struggles in the dark. For you decide for THEM AND for yourself. How gracious is it to decide all things through Him, Whose equal love is given equally to all alike! He leaves you no one OUTSIDE yourself, alone WITHOUT you. And so He gives you what is yours, because your Father would have you share it WITH Him.
In everything be led by Him, and do not reconsider. Trust Him to answer quickly, surely, and with love for everyone who will be touched, in any way, by the decision. And EVERYONE will be. Would you take unto yourself the sole responsibility for deciding what can bring ONLY good to everyone? Would you KNOW this? You taught YOURSELVES the most unnatural habit of NOT communicating with your Creator. Yet you remain in close communication with Him, and with everything that is within Him, as it is within YOURSELF. UNlearn isolation through His loving guidance, and learn of all the happy communication that you have thrown away, but could NOT lose.
Whenever you are in doubt what you should do, think of His Presence in you, and tell yourself this, and ONLY this: “He leadeth me, and knows the way, which I know not. Yet He will never KEEP from me what He would have me LEARN. And so I trust Him to communicate to me all that He knows FOR me.” Then let Him teach you quietly how to perceive your guiltlessness which is ALREADY there.
Learning is living here, as creating is Being in Heaven. Whenever the pain of guilt seems to ATTRACT you, remember that, if you yield to it, you are deciding AGAINST your happiness, and will NOT learn how to be happy. Say, therefore, to yourself, gently, but with the conviction born of the love of God and of His Son:
“What I experience I will make manifest. If I am guiltless, I have nothing to fear. I choose to testify to my ACCEPTANCE of the Atonement, NOT FOR ITS REJECTION. I would accept my guiltlessness by making it manifest and SHARING it. Let me bring peace to God’s Son from his Father.”

Good Morning. Saturday morning here in New Hampshire, a gorgeous spring day.
I wanted to share this story with you because it’s very powerful. I saw a photo circulating on facebook – yes, I am back on facebook – come friend me http://www.facebook.com/lisanatoli – but I saw a photo on facebook one of those “feel-good” inspirational stories that everyone loved and reposted. WELL… something wasn’t sitting right with me when I read it, and so I googled it and found out the real story.
Here is the photo that was circulating and the feel-good story that went with it:
MAKE THE CONNECTION.
“And suddenly, I looked at the bull. He had this innocence that all animals have in their eyes, and he looked at me with this pleading. It was like a cry for justice, deep down inside of me. I describe it as being like a prayer – because if one confesses, it is hoped, that one is forgiven. I felt like the worst shit on earth.” This photo shows the collapse of Torrero Alvaro Munera, as he realized in the middle of the his last fight… the injustice to the animal. From that day forward he became an opponent of bullfights.
That’s the facebook version. I did some research on google, and it didn’t happen like it says above (although it does make a nice story). He was gored by a bull and confined to a wheelchair – and then he “reflected on his cruel past with sincere regret and renounced bullfighting. He knew 2 times prior to this fight that put him in a wheelchair that he needed/wanted to quit because of the compassion he felt, and he was getting a very strong clear inner prompt to quit but because he was booked for another fight he figured he had to do this one last fight and then quit. “I decided it wasn’t the life for me. But my travel to Spain was already arranged, so I crossed the Atlantic. Then came the third chance, the definitive one. It was like God thought, “If this guy doesn’t want to listen to reason, he’ll have to learn the hard way.” And of course I learned” …. he got gored by a bull and confined to a wheelchair for life. Either we listen to these prompts/inner voice or we learn the hard way – the choice is ours.
Since I read this story, I’ve been looking at my own life. God is speaking to me all the time. I am constantly being inspired with ideas, hunches and intuition. Am I listening? Am I taking the steps needed to go in that direction? Or am I putting something off that I know I should be doing? Am I lingering too long in situations that I need to walk away from? Am I procrastinating and waiting, thinking I can make a choice later? GOD IS SPEAKING TO ME NOW.
AM I DOING IT?
Or am I waiting for some future moment?
Today is all there is.
It’s so amazing to live like this, and not wait. I instinctively know what to do. I know what needs to be done.
But often, I’ll think “oh, I have time, I’ll do it later”
But there is no later. Whatever thought is coming into my mind today, I need to do it today.
This story with Torrero Alvaro Munera is inspirational … God is speaking all the time, and if we don’t listen (and very important – follow through with action!) then we have to learn the hard way (which is just not necessary).
Is there something you know needs to be done? Is there something you have been wanting to do, but not doing it? Has God’s Voice been speaking to you, prompting you with an idea?
Just something to think about.

I am reading Joel Goldsmith’s biography and it is AMAZING!
For about the past month, I have been receiving very specific instruction to sit with God every morning and several times during the day, to call on Christ, and just be quiet and listen.
It’s quite a change for me because:
a. I rarely sit quietly
b. when I do talk to God it’s usually to ask for something
c. I have never meditated in my life.
So this is whole brand new territory for me to start asking God what God needs, and to sit quietly long enough to listen to what He has to say.
Last night I was getting ready to go to bed, it was about 11pm and I received a very loud thought in my head to stay up, pray and read.
So I got out my Joel Goldsmith book, went into the living room and what I read absolutely blew me away.
So I’d like to share it here now with you (it’s long, but think of it this way, it will take you less to time to read it than it is going to take me to type it in – as I am about to do right now).

Joel Goldsmith: Are you willing to count yourself among those dedicated and consecrated people who have risen above self-seeking and who think in terms of universality rather than personality? Are you willing to give periods of meditation every day to the dissolving of the material sense which holds the world in bondage?
A Course in Miracles: “If a sufficient number of people become truly miracle-minded quickly, the shortening process can be almost immeasurable. But it is essential that these individuals free themselves from fear sooner than would ordinarily be the case, because they MUST emerge from basic conflict if they are to bring peace to the minds of others.”

Joel was an unrelenting adversary of the Roosevelt administration. When the bill to increase the size of the Supreme Court came before Congress, which in the eyes of its opponents meant “packing” the Court, his response was immediate action. Only this time it was a different kind of action. The night before the bill was to come up for a vote, the Voice that was always there to impart Itself to him told him not to go to bed but to stay up and pray.
Throughout the hours of the night he meditated, read, meditated and read, not praying for the defeat of the bill, spending hours waiting for something to come through, and at four o’clock in the morning the answer came that the work had been done and he could go to bed. The following morning, newspapers came out with the headline that if the bill passed if would mean the end of freedom in the United States. The bill did not pass, and years later the editor of a chain of newspapers told he had been awakened at four o’clock on that particular morning by a voice in his ear, saying that the bill must be stopped. He sent out word to all his newspapers to enlist public opinion against the bill, with the result that the nation was so aroused that the bill was defeated.
Joel envisioned groups of people all around the world who would dedicate themselves to specific periods of the day for the realization of the Christ in connection with world problems. There was a strong urge within him to introduce this idea on a wider scale to more persons, and on several different occasions he felt that he was ready to begin this work. In fact as early as 1950 Joel wrote, asking me to become part of such a group to carry on daily work TO REALIZE THE ACTIVITY OF CHRIST IN WORLD AFFAIRS. But it was not until January 1956, that he began working with a small group of students in Hawaii along this line. Then in the class in March of that year in New York, some twenty-five persons were invited to meet Joel while he presented this new phase of work to them.
He emphasized the principle of secrecy and pointed out very clearly that there would never be any personal glory attached to the work because no one would know it was going on. Later Joel invited all those who were interested in dedicating themselves to world work to participate in it:
Are you willing to count yourself among those dedicated and consecrated people who have risen above self-seeking and who think in terms of universality rather than personality? Are you willing to give periods of meditation every day to the dissolving of the material sense which holds the world in bondage? The Christ is hidden inside of you, but you must release that Christ into the world. Be willing to sit in the silence until you have a conscious feeling that God is on the field. Then the Christ is functioning.
This is the secret of meditation. In meditation we unite with God, and in uniting with God, we find ourselves united with all mankind receptive and responsive to the spiritual urge.
After you have achieved the awareness of the Christ, realize that this Christ is dissolving the errors of this world – dissolving material sense – and that that realization of the Christ is opening human consciousness to a receptivity to Truth. Just to make the statement that human consciousness is being opened to truth is a waste of time, but to have realized the Christ and then to know that this realization of the Christ is operating in human consciousness to make it receptive to Truth will be effective.
In this meditation you are not criticizing or condemning anybody, you are not judging as to whether material sense is operating in this one or in that one: You are realizing that wherever material sense raises its head, this realized Christ is dispelling it … Give three periods out of every 24 hours to the world. This is your contribution to world freedom. Therefore, three times each day open out a way for the Spirit of the Lord God which is upon you to escape into the world.
Let your first meditation period be only for the purpose of feeling a consciousness of God’s presence. When that has been achieved, that is the end of that period of meditation for the world. In your second meditation dedicated to world freedom, again achieve a consciousness of God’s presence and realize that this realization of the Christ is dispelling material sense in the human consciousness. Begin your third meditation once again with a realization of the Christ and then recognize that the realization of the Christ is dispelling material sense and opening human consciousness to a receptivity to Truth.
This is your gift to the world – little enough to give for the priceless gift you have received.

My topic today is about Presence and Listening: take the cotton balls out of your ears and put it in your mouth. Your Presence is the most important perfect gift you can give to anyone. Light (which is what you are) shines and feels good – it doesn’t battle with people and ask questions and tell them they’re wrong or try to change anything. It doesn’t hold grievances. Love simply shines in perfect constancy.

Jesus in A Course in Miracles says ASK ABOUT EVERYTHING. He tells about Edgar Cayce how he never asked when to start and when to stop. If he had asked Jesus when to stop and which miracles to perform, he wouldn’t have exhausted himself.
from A Course in Miracles:
One of the major problems with miracle workers is that they are so sure that what they are doing is right, because they KNOW it stems from love, that they do not pause to let ME establish MY limits.
While what he (Cacey) did came from Me, he could NOT be induced to ask me each time whether I wanted him to perform this PARTICULAR miracle. If he had, he would not have performed any miracles that could not get through constructively, and would thus have saved himself unnecessary strain. He burned himself out with indiscriminate miracles, and to this extent did not fulfill his own full purpose, and was also subject to the Scribal error I mentioned at the start. The Disciples were also prone to this.
The answer is NEVER perform a miracle without asking me IF you should. This spares you from exhaustion, and because you act under direct communication the trance becomes unnecessary. Because miracles are expressions of love, it does NOT follow that they will always be effective. I am the only one who can perform miracles indiscriminately, because I AM the Atonement. You have a ROLE in Atonement, which I will dictate TO you.

I am in back in New Hampshire now – I had a great weekend in Boston. I gave my second tv interview on Friday, then Saturday and Sunday was all-day workshops with a guy named Michael Mirdad who is an amazing spiritual teacher.
He gave a good reminder at the workshop about hearing God’s Voice and taking time to listen. Of course, I know these things, but how often do I practice? How often am I talking to God – not asking Him for things – but really abiding with God, listening to what He has to say? How often am I asking Him…
What would You have me do?
What would You have me say and to whom?
Where would you have me go?
In all honestly, not as often as I should.
And so I was grateful for the reminder because I know that when I do turn to God and ask for His Guidance, things work miraculously and everything is easy.
Michael was telling the story about Bill Thetford asking Helen Schucman if Jesus would talk to Bill the same way he talks to Helen and Jesus told Helen that HE DOES TALK TO BILL but that Bill doesn’t listen.
The instruction Jesus gave Bill is to say “Here I am, Lord” and then to listen.
Micheal Mirdad was making a little joke that often what happens here it’s like we call God on the phone – we’ve gotten quiet, we’re listening and waiting – and just when God is about to pick up, we hang up. Suddenly, just at the point when we are about to receive an instruction and hear His Voice, suddenly we need to eat breakfast or take a shower, or call a friend, or re-arrange the sock drawer.
So for today, I’d love to get you thinking about this topic. There is a Plan, and God wants to reveal it to us and we need to be open and receptive to listening.
Each one of us has a very specific part to play, we each have special abilities and gifts to be used in God’s Plan, and as we made a conscious decision to abide more closely with God each day, He will help us save time by telling us what to do and where to go and what to say.
But … here is the clincher … we need be still and ask and then wait patiently until He speaks.
And not hang up just at the point when God is answering the phone.
