Lisa Audio: Joel Goldsmith & The Art of Spiritual Healing

Hi there -
Are you interested in healing?  In helping people? In doing “greater things” than Jesus did like he says you will do in the bible?
Here is a one-hour talk/reading I gave from Joel Goldsmith’s book The Art of Spiritual Healing:
To buy the book, click this link:
 The Art of Spiritual Healing

I’ve been reading this book for a week, and OH MY GOD, I am absolutely BLOWN AWAY BY IT. It landed on my doorstep, sent by a friend as a gift and I know it was sent by God from Heaven. :-)
And so today at 12 noon I’ll be sharing the best bits from it. How all that is needed for healing is to simply bring yourself to Christ consciousness to be open and receptive to listen to God’s Voice, and then get out of the way to allow God to do the healing. Hands off the wheel because God is on the field. He does the work.

All my love to you always.

If you need healing, read this.

All healing is already accomplished, all problems already solved, all prayers already answered – but God’s gifts can rarely be received directly.

Often you need a bridge like Jesus or me or someone you know who has accepted the Atonement who lives in God-consciousness.

There are many people on the planet now who live in Christ-consciousness as their constant state of Being, and I’m sure you  know a few.

Many people are puzzled as to why only the person who asks for help rather than one hundred million other people (who have not asked for help) receives the benefit of a treatment if it is not necessary to know his name or his condition and if neither of these is taken into a treatment. The answer is found in the basic principle of oneness. The particular patient who has asked for help receives that help because he has reached out to the consciousness of the practitioner who understands that there is not a patient-consciousness, a practitioner-consciousness and a God-consciousness: There is ONLY one Consciousness  – God-consciousness.

When a patient turns to a truly dedicated God-consciousness, he makes himself a part of that practitioner’s God-consciousness.

And that’s where healing occurs.

You must get in that vibration and it only takes a second. If you think of me, or if you think of Jesus, or if you think of someone you know who lives in the constant Presence of Love and the Grace of God, healing is accomplished.

If you think it didn’t work, get back in that vibration again and you will receive your healing. In remembering Jesus, or me, or someone you know who has accepted the Atonement, you are remembering God.

In remembering God, you are healed.

It is not necessary for you even to ask for anything specific, in fact, it is best if you simply forget about what you think you need and just come empty-handed. You need not name your problem or disease or story. Just come with a willingness and desire to be healed, and you will receive it.

I am available for healing. I am a practitioner of God and all work and healing is given freely.

It is my joy to do what I do – to be a channel through which God works and heals -  and to be able to offer it for free to anyone who asks.

You can either think of me and it will be done – Healing is instant in the moment you ask – or you can write to me at

lisanatoli@yahoo.com

There is no charge. It’s free.

If you receive a healing and would like to give a donation, you can do so here.

Please remember your story is not necessary. I do not need to know details, and prefer not to know them.

All that is needed is you to want to be healed and it is done.

Audio: Bill & Lisa – Being in Love with the Beloved and Sending the Christ body of yourself out before you – into the day or into a room before you walk into it.

Bill and I gave a 30-minute talk this morning on ACIM Gather Radio.

You can listen to it by clicking this link: http://www.talkshoe.com/talkshoe/web/talkCast.jsp?masterId=88599&cmd=tc

We talked about Being Love and Falling in Love with the Beloved. Also on this audio are super practical techniques you can begin to practice – to be aware of your energy/Spirit body – the Christ body, the Love of you – and send it out before you – into the day or into a room before you walk into it – so that it transforms the space before the physical you walks into it.

This is a really good one to practice – you’ll be amazed the very first time you try it!!

Jean Houston describes her friendship with Pierre Teilhard de Chardin when she was 14

I am enrolled in an 8-week class called Godseed based on Jean Houston’s book Godseed.

In it she describes when she was 14 living in New York City in the 1950s, she met an “old man” in Central Park – and they met for about a year several times a week. Because of his French accent she thought his name was Tayer and so she only knew him as Mr. Tayer. Years later after his death in 1955, she came across one of Teildhard de Chardin’s book and recognized the picture and realized her friend, the “old man” was Teilhard. :-)

This description is THE BEST – what a great way to go through life.

by Jean Houston

When I was about fourteen I was seized by enormous waves of grief over my parents’ breakup.  I had read somewhere that running would help dispel anguish, so I began to run to school every day down Park Avenue in New York City. I was a great big overgrown girl (5 feet eleven by the age of eleven) and one day I ran into a rather frail old gentleman in his seventies and knocked the wind out of him. He laughed as I helped him to his feet and asked me in French- accented speech, “Are you planning to run like that for the rest of your life?”
“Yes, sir” I replied. “It looks that way.”

“Well, Bon Voyage!” he said.

“Bon Voyage!” I answered and sped on my way.

About a week later I was walking down Park Avenue with my fox terrier, Champ, and again I met the old gentleman.

“Ah.” he greeted me, “my friend the runner, and with a fox terrier. I knew one like that years ago in France. Where are you going?”

“Well, sir.” I replied, “I’m taking Champ to Central Park.”

“I will go with you.” he informed me. “I will take my constitutional.”

And thereafter, for about a year or so, the old gentleman and I would meet and walk together often several times a week in Central Park. He had a long French name but asked me to call him by the first part of it, which was “Mr. Tayer” as far as I could make out.

The walks were magical and full of delight. Not only did Mr. Tayer seem to have absolutely no self-consciousness, but he was always being seized by wonder and astonishment over the simplest things. He was constantly and literally falling into love. I remember one time when he suddenly fell on his knees, his long Gallic nose raking the ground, and exclaimed to me, “Jeanne, look at the caterpillar. Ahhhh!” I joined him on the ground to see what had evoked so profound a response that he was seized by the essence of caterpillar. “How beautiful it is”, he remarked, “this little green being with its wonderful funny little feet. Exquisite! Little furry body, little green feet on the road to metamorphosis.” He then regarded me with equal delight. “Jeanne, can you feel yourself to be a caterpillar?”

“Oh yes.” I replied with the baleful knowing of a gangly, pimply faced teenager.

“Then think of your own metamorphosis.” he suggested. “What will you be when you become a butterfly, une papillon, eh? What is the butterfly of Jeanne?” (What a great question for a fourteen-year-old girl!) His long, gothic, comic-tragic face would nod with wonder. “Eh, Jeanne, look at the clouds! God’s calligraphy in the sky! All that transforming. moving, changing, dissolving, becoming. Jeanne, become a cloud and become all the forms that ever were.”

Or there was the time that Mr. Tayer and I leaned into the strong wind that suddenly whipped through Central Park, and he told me, “Jeanne, sniff the wind.” I joined him in taking great snorts of wind. “The same wind may once have been sniffed by Jesus Christ (sniff). by Alexander the Great (sniff), by Napoleon (sniff), by Voltaire (sniff), by Marie Antoinette (sniff)!” (There seemed to be a lot of French people in that wind.) “Now sniff this next gust of wind in very deeply for it contains.. . Jeanne d’Arc! Sniff the wind once sniffed by Jeanne dArc. Be filled with the winds of history.”

It was wonderful. People of all ages followed us around, laughing—not at us but with us. Old Mr. Tayer was truly diaphanous to every moment and being with him was like being in attendance at God’s own party, a continuous celebration of life and its mysteries. But mostly Mr. Tayer was so full of vital sap and juice that he seemed to flow with everything. Always he saw the interconnections between things—the way that everything in the universe, from fox terriers to tree bark to somebody’s red hat to the mind of God, was related to everything else and was very, very good.

He wasn’t merely a great appreciator, engaged by all his senses. He was truly penetrated by the reality that was yearning for him as much as he was yearning for it. He talked to the trees, to the wind, to the rocks as dear friends, as beloved even. ‘Ah, my friend, the mica schist layer, do you remember when…?” And I would swear that the mica schist would begin to glitter back. I mean, mica schist will do that, but on a cloudy day?! Everything was treated as personal, as sentient, as “thou.” And everything that was thou was ensouled with being. and it thou-ed back to him. So when I walked with him, I felt as though a spotlight was following us, bringing radiance and light everywhere. And I was constantly seized by astonishment in the presence of this infinitely beautiful man, who radiated such sweetness, such kindness.

I remember one occasion when he was quietly watching a very old woman watching a young boy play a game. “Madame”, he suddenly addressed her. She looked up, surprised that a stranger in Central Park would speak to her. “Madame,” he repeated, “why are you so fascinated by what that little boy is doing?” The old woman was startled by the question, but the kindly face of Mr. Tayer seemed to allay her fears and evoke her memories. “Well, sir,” she replied in an ancient but pensive voice, “the game that boy is playing is like one I played in this park around 1880, only it’s a mite different.” We noticed that the boy was listening, so Mr. Tayer promptly included him in the conversation. “Young fellow, would you like to learn the game as it was played so many years ago?”

“Well. . .yeah. sure, why not?” the boy replied. And soon the young boy and the old woman were making friends and sharing old and new variations on the game—as unlikely an incident to occur in Central Park as could be imagined.

But perhaps the most extraordinary thing about Mr. Tayer was the way that he would suddenly look at you. He looked at you with wonder and astonishment joined to unconditional love joined to a whimsical regarding of you as the cluttered house that hides the holy one. I felt myself primed to the depths by such seeing. I felt evolutionary forces wake up in me by such seeing, every cell and thought and potential palpably changed. I was yeasted, greened, awakened by such seeing, and the defeats and denigrations of adolescence redeemed. I would go home and tell my mother, who was a little skeptical about my walking with an old man in the park so often, “Mother, I was with my old man again, and when I am with him, I leave my littleness behind.” That deeply moved her. You could not be stuck in littleness and be in the radiant field of Mr. Tayer.

The last time that I ever saw him was the Thursday before Easter Sunday, 1955. I  brought him the shell of a snail. “Ah. Escargot.” he exclaimed and then proceeded to wax ecstatic for the better part of an hour. Snail shells, and galaxies, and the convolutions in the brain, the whorl of flowers and the meanderings of rivers were taken up into a great hymn to the spiralling evolution of spirit and matter. When he had finished, his voice dropped, and he whispered almost in prayer, “Omega …omega. . .omega..” Finally he looked up and said to me quietly, “Au revoir, Jeanne”.

“Au revoir, Mr. Tayer,” I replied, “I’ll meet you at the same time next Tuesday.”

For some reason. Champ, my fox terrier didn’t want to budge, and when I pulled him along, he whimpered, looking back at Mr.Tayer, his tail between his legs. The following Tuesday I was there waiting where we always met at the corner of Park Avenue and 83rd Street. He didn’t come. The following Thursday I waited again. Still he didn’t come. The dog looked up at me sadly. For the next eight weeks I continued to wait, but he never came again. It turned out that he had suddenly died that Easter Sunday but I didn’t find that out for years.

Some years later, someone handed me a book without a cover which was titled The Phenomenon of Man. As I read the book I found it strangely familiar in its concepts. Occasional words and expressions loomed up as echoes from my past. When, later in the book, I came across the concept of the “Omega point.” I was certain. I asked to see the jacket of the book, looked at the author’s picture, and, of course, recognized him immediately. There was no forgetting or mistaking that face. Mr. Tayer was Teilhard de Chardin, the great priest-scientist, poet and mystic, and during that lovely and luminous year I had been meeting him out side the Jesuit rectory of St. Ignatius where he was living most of the time.

I have often wondered if it was my simplicity and innocence that allowed the fullness of Teilhard’s being to be revealed. To me he was never the great priest-paleontologist Pere Teilhard. He was old Mr. Tayer. Why did he always come and walk with me every Tuesday and Thursday, even though I’m sure he had better things to do? Was it that in seeing me so completely, he himself could be completely seen at a time when his writings, his work, were proscribed by the Church, when he was not permitted to teach, or even to talk about his ideas? As I later found out, he was undergoing at that time the most excruciating agony that there is—the agony of utter disempowerment and psychological crucifixion. And yet to me he was always so present—whimsical, engaging, empowering. How could that be?

I think it was because Teilhard had what few Church officials did—the power and grace of the Love that passes all understanding. He could write about love being the evolutionary force, the Omega point, that lures the world and ourselves into becoming, because he experienced that love in a piece of rock, in the wag of a dog’s tail, in the eyes of a child. He was so in love with everything that he talked in great particularity, even to me as an adolescent, about the desire atoms have for each other, the yearning of molecules, of organisms, of bodies, of planets, of galaxies, all of creation longing for that radiant bonding, for joining, for the deepening of their condition, for becoming more by virtue of yearning for and finding the other. He knew about the search for the Beloved. His model was Christ. For Teilhard de Chardin, Christ was the Beloved of the soul.

Years later, while addressing some Jesuits, a very old Jesuit came up to me.  He was a friend of Teilhard’s—and he told me how Teilhard used to talk of his encounters in the Park with a girl called Jeanne.

Is it possible to be friends with the ego?

Here is an audio talk I gave:
Stop praying to Santa God and Is it possible to be friends with the ego:
http://www.talkshoe.com/talkshoe/web/talkCast.jsp?masterId=88599&cmd=tc

I’m going to be discussing that Eckhart Tolle video I sent out a few days ago: IS IT POSSIBLE TO BE FRIENDS WITH EGO?
it’s a great topic (and a great video) because it can show you that once you recognize ego, it’s not ego anymore and you can begin to notice your patterns and start to experiment with breaking them one by one, little by little. I can remember when I noticed my pattern of getting angry and defending myself, and once I become aware I then realized that I didn’t have to get angry or defend myself. And before long, the habit disappeared entirely. That’s a miracle.
And it was like that with sadness and depression, and confusion and doubt. Little by little, I noticed certain behaviors in me and I started dropping them. That’s today’s topic.

What do you want? Do you know? Are you sure? When you know what you want, with nothing opposing it, you will have it.

“Unweakened Power, with NO opposite, is what creation IS.” –A Course in Miracles

The Law of Creation at you love your creations as yourself, BECAUSE THEY ARE PART OF YOU.

You need only ask for happiness once to have it forever.

One of my favorite lessons from A Course in Miracles is Lesson 24 which is FILL IN THE BLANK where Jesus really cuts to the chase and makes it evident that even though I SAY that I know what I want, in honesty when I search my mind I have many different goals which actually contradict each other. LOL.

But when I really really really know what I want, and there is nothing opposing it, it is given to me immediately.

LESSON 24

The exercises for today require much more honesty than you are accustomed to using. A few subjects, honestly and carefully considered in each of the five practice periods which should be undertaken today, will be more helpful than a more cursory examination of a large number. Two minutes are suggested for each of the mind searching periods which the exercises involve.

Practice periods begin with repeating today’s idea, followed by searching the mind, with closed eyes, for unresolved situations about which you are currently concerned. The emphasis should be on uncovering the outcome you want. You will quickly realize that you have a number of goals in mind as part of the desired outcome; and also that these goals are on different levels, and often conflict.

Name each situation that occurs to you, and enumerate carefully as many goals as possible that you would like to be met in its resolution. The form of each application should be roughly as follows:

“In the situation involving _____,
I would like _____ to happen, and _____ to happen,”

and so on. Try to cover as many different kinds of outcome as may honestly occur to you, even if some of them do not appear to you to be directly related to the situation, or even to be inherent in it at all.

If these exercises are done properly, you will quickly recognize that you are making a large number of demands of the situation which have nothing to do with it. You will also recognize that many of your goals are contradictory, that you have no unified outcome in mind, and that you must experience disappointment in connection with some of your goals however the situation turns out.

Faced with the conflicts we experience in our life, we decide we must do something. We join a meditation group, a church, a religious or spiritual study group. We are going to do something about the problems of our life. But, what happens?

by Steven Harrison

Doing Nothing

“We try so many things to fix our troubles. We try to solve our problems by acquiring money and things money can buy, but we find that materialism doesn’t work. Who is actually happy? How many things can you collect?

We turn to religion, but religion doesn’t seem to work. We pray, but who is listening? We try meditation, new therapies, exotic religions, angels, channels. Nothing works.

Thousands of spiritually interested individuals have found themselves religiously following practices which have not fundamentally changed their lives – and never will. Equal thousands have become cynical as they discovered their teachers and peers mired in sex, money and power scandals.

I assert that we will find the truths of life not through any process, philosophy, or religion, but through the simple act of stopping the search. Every approach to psychological cure, religious faith or spiritual enlightenment is entirely useless. These techniques can’t get us from where we are to this better place. Why? Because, the better place is a myth, a story, an idea. Where we are is the only fact, the only actuality, and it is here that we must begin. We must begin where we are, there is no other place.

We have such difficulty being where we are, we are a culture of action, of doing, of achievement. Faced with the conflicts we experience in our life, we decide we must do something. We join a meditation group, a church, a religious or spiritual study group. We are going to do something about the problems of our life.

But, what happens? Don’t we take those problems with us? Aren’t we the problem ? That which is looking for the solution is the problem. The self, the me, the mind with all its needs and wants has one more want, it wants a solution.

But this “me” that is looking is the problem.

Is there a solution? Perhaps a better questions is, “Is there a problem that needs to be solved?” Or is there just the craving of the mind, always looking, grasping, wanting?

What should we do about this grasping mind? Why not do nothing?

The agitation is there, the drive to do something is there, the need to find a solution is there. The pain, the confusion, the hurt is all there. Let it be there. We don’t need to do anything with it. We don’t need to fix it, to change it, to make it better. Do nothing. What happens?

Shall we find out?

Take just a minute now, simply stop, close your eyes, and do nothing.

As it turns out, nothing is a surprisingly active place. But it is here that we can discover what we are. In the resistance to doing nothing, the fear of doing nothing, of being nothing, we begin to discover the parameters of the self.

We discover that are world is thought, that our self is thought and that all of this thought is arising and falling away in this vast field of awareness which we call consciousness.

One hour audio: Training the ego like a dog

Here is a one-hour talk I gave yesterday February 16, 2012.

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4621838/Lisa021612.mp3

The topic is: PERFECT LOVE CASTS OUT FEAR AND DISSOLVES ALL PROBLEMS

I talk about when people say they are “not there yet” and have a “desire” to wake up and who “want enlightenment” and to be a little bit careful of this idea because only the ego says these kinds of things because God/Holy Spirit/You is already whole and awake.

So while you say “I want to wake up’ and “I’m not there yet” ask yourself the question: WHO IS THE I THAT IS SAYING THIS?

not God. not you.

It’s the tyrant/imposter who lives in you who masquerades as you. So be alert when you say these things – because the ego will make you feel like you’re being sincere, but it can be a huge trap to stay in misery longer while you “seek” and “search” for what is already in you today.

the ego loves this kind of statement as a way to keep you on the path as long as possible. Meanwhile you are already in a state of joy – it simply needs your recognition. My suggestion if you still find yourself in a condition of depressed, confused or “not there yet” is to train your ego like a dog to become obedient, and to constantly say NO! to it.

Don’t try to reach enlightenment, forget about that, because the ego has a field-day with this one.

Instead every time you start to act up just say NO! to it. Just like you would to a dog who thinks it runs the show. Show it who is master.

use every day to forgive every thought/situation that comes up, and have a willingness to see things differently. Forget about enlightenment. You’re already awake.

Train yourself to be grateful. Put the ego in it’s place with perfect love and fear will disappear.

One of the most powerful things i know to do is STAND STILL because the ego always speaks first and the loudest, so the best advice I know when some kind of emotion other than love comes up (anger, worry, resentment) is to just STAND STILL and DO NOTHING. Just like training a dog, you can train yourself to not defend yourself, to not attack, to not lash out. You can train yourself to STOP! breathe, remember God and take a few minutes to allow your TRUE VOICE to speak – which always speaks more quietly and second to ego.It will remind you of the truth of Who you are. It does take discipline, but it works when you do it.

Here is the audio, enjoy!

Don’t fixate on problems. Become aware of the words you use and the stories you are telling. Is it truth? Or it is a rehashing of the illusion?

Happy Valentines Day!

I get Abraham-Hicks quotes in my email box every day. I love this one from today (below). It’s a great reminder to be aware of the Power of words and story telling. Focus on the truth and don’t pay attention to anything else. Don’t fixate on problems. Become aware of the stories you are telling. Is it truth? Or it is a rehashing of the illusion?

from Abraham-Hicks:

“It should only be talked about if the talking will make you feel better. It is of no value, ever, to activate and talk about something that doesn’t feel good, because it reactivates it in your vibration; it makes it another point of your point of attraction so you’re less clear.

“In other words, when you focus upon the problems of others, you diminish your ability to help them. People believe that you’ve got to focus upon the problem in order to find a solution. And we say, no solution ever comes forth – it’s never inspired; you never recognize it, and you are never able to facilitate or achieve it – from your place of focusing on the problem. They are two entirely different vibrations. If you have someone who has many things going wrong and one thing going right, beat the drum of what’s going right, and let that be your point of attraction. If you focus upon their problems, you achieve vibrational harmony with something other than the Source that gives you solution.

To receive A Course in Miracles workbook by email … read this.

I wasn’t planning on doing the ACIM workbook lessons this year, but they come in my mailbox by email every morning, and sometimes I click on one, and I’m instantly hooked – every time! They are so great. No matter how many times I read these lessons, every time I read them again they serve as a powerful reminder of the truth.

The lessons are very simple, and very practical (and they work when you do them!)

“Try today to begin to learn how to look on all things with love, appreciation and open-mindedness.”

GOD IS IN EVERYTHING I SEE BECAUSE GOD IS IN MY MIND.

The idea for today is the springboard for vision.

HA. It’s a springboard .. FOR VISION.

From this idea will the world open up before you, and you will look upon it and see in it what you have never seen before.

HOW?

By looking on all things with love, appreciation and open-mindedness.

Over at the Teachers of God community board, I read a great description of the perfect day by Jim Barnard who is over in Sweden. Here it is:

Think about the kind of day you want then tell yourself there is a way that very day can happen JUST LIKE THAT. Describe it here.
Wake up refreshed and rested at 6 am, and give thanks, without strain or lack of motivation do morning routine of stretching and strength exercises, giving thanks. Eat breakfast at a leisurely tempo in stillness, giving thanks. do the morning routines of showing and dressing listen to uplifting gospel music.. give thanks. Without hurrying have plenty of time to commute to work on the buss or taxi, give thanks. Find that all the people I met when I leave the house greet me with smiles and are friendly and that continues as I arrive at work. Give thanks. Without hurrying make time to eat a light lunch sometimes in company, sometimes in solitude… but in every case , give thanks. The patients I take care of are like my family as are my colleagues we grow in friendship and understanding and work becomes like a dance, a waltz where we effortlessly move in grace with each other. I give thanks. On my way home everyone that I meet resonates with harmony and smiles. I am not tired, my feet are not sore in the least. I give thanks. Arriving home I find it peaceful and quite. I read or write, and give thanks. I am soon ready for sleep, but first turn inward to listen, perhaps to ask, then listen and I give thanks for learning that thankfulness is the bridge to love.

Isn’t that great?? Between every single activity he gives thanks. I love that. This is the way to look on all things (it says ALL THINGS -which means the “good” and the “bad” – all things) with love, appreciation, and open-mindedness.

Fall in love with everything. Fall in love with yourself. Fall in love with God. Fall in love with life. Give thanks.

We do not wish for things to be different. We simply look at them with the eyes of God – recognizing God there.

God is in everything I see.

I love you.

Enjoy today.

Lisa

Audio: Max and I talk about the movie Thrive

Here is an audio Max and I did – a 30-minute talk about the movie Thrive.

http://www.blogtalkradio.com/maxandlisa/2012/02/07/the-max-lisa-showa-course-in-miracles

The main gist of our talk is: do not listen to anyone who tells you what to do or who asks you change or fix anything in the world to try to make it better. Especially not someone who says there are evil doers vs. good guys and tries to make you feel like a victim and now it’s payback time.

There is no world. This is a dream of your own making and does not exist. Lesson 80: LET ME RECOGNIZE MY PROBLEMS HAVE BEEN SOLVED.

If you are willing to recognize your problems, you will recognize that you have no problems. Your one central problem has been answered, and you have no other. Therefore you must be at peace. Salvation does depend on recognizing this one problem, and understanding that it has been solved. One problem–one solution.

Your only problem has been solved! Repeat this over and over to yourself today, with gratitude and conviction. You have recognized your only problem, opening the way for the Holy Spirit to give you God’s answer. You have laid deception aside, and seen the light of truth. You have accepted salvation for yourself by bringing the problem to the answer. And you can recognize the answer because the problem has been identified.

You are entitled to peace today. A problem that has been resolved cannot trouble you. Only be certain you do not forget that all problems are the same. Their many forms will not deceive you while you remember this. One problem–one solution. Accept the peace this simple statement brings. -A Course in Miracles

The most powerful thing you can do to “change the world” is KNOW WHO YOU AS THE LIGHT AND LOVE THAT GOD CREATED and BE HAPPY

Today at 12pm EST on ACIM Gather Radio

I’ll be on ACIM Gather today (and every Thursday!) at 12pm EST.

http://www.acimgatherradio.org

Or Paltalk or Paltalk Express – the room is ACIM Gather

My topic is PURPOSE and FUNCTION

Lesson 65: My only function is the one God gave me.

“The idea for today reaffirms your commitment to salvation. It also reminds you that you have no other function than this. Both of these thoughts are obviously necessary for a total commitment. Salvation cannot be the only purpose you hold while you still cherish others. The full acceptance of salvation as your only function necessarily entails two phases:

1. the recognition of salvation as your function

2. and the relinquishment of all the other goals you have invented for yourself.

This is the only way in which you can take your rightful place among the saviors of the world. This is the only way in which you can say and mean, “My only function is the one God gave me.” This is the only way in which you can find peace of mind.

What does Jesus say is your function?

TO BE HAPPY.

So applying this lesson 65 it means:

My function is HAPPINESS and I recognize it

AND

I relinquish ALL OTHER GOALS I have invented for myself.

Amen.

My first time on television! Here is the episode! Enjoy!

Well, here it is! My first time on television. Oh my goodness – it was so much fun. The host Penelope Chatterton made me feel so comfortable, like chatting with a friend. I could really use a stylist and some help in the hair department, haha, I never pay attention to these things, but aside from that this is a really fun 30-minutes! Enjoy!

The episode is called New Beginning. Click here to watch the whole episode: http://www.awakeinthedreamtv.com/archives/634

Most people don’t realize you can cut anything at all out of your life: addiction, sadness, sickness, depression, doubt, habits, anything at all. You can be happy.

‘At the very gates of Paradise the descendants of Zeus halted here on their way to eternity to cast a look earthward and saw with the eyes of innocents that the earth is indeed what they had always dreamed it to be: a place of beauty and joy and peace. In his heart man is angelic; in his heart man is united with the whole world… Here the most sublime thoughts are nullified, stopped in their wing…ed flight by an ever-deepening halo whose effulgence stills the very processes of thought. At its best thought is but a speculation, a pastime such as the machine enjoys when it sparks. God has thought everything out in advance. We have nothing to solve: it has all been solved for us. We have but to melt, to dissolve, to swim in the solution. We are soluble fish and the world is our aquarium’ (Henry Miller, The Colossus of Maroussi, pp.165-6).

How can you tell if ego is running the show?

How can you tell if the ego/mind is running the show? VERY SIMPLY. Whenever you are not wholly joyous, you can be certain the ego is in charge and masquerading as you.

The ego is an imposter. He likes to make you think it’s you that’s depressed and confused, but that’s utterly impossible because God did not create depression or confusion. He created only Light which is what you are. You can’t be depressed (or sick or sad or conflicted) because these these things don’t exist.

I absolutely love today’s lesson 37 from A Course in Miracles:

My holiness blesses the world.

“This idea contains the first glimmerings of your true function in the world, or why you are here. “

YES and AMEN.

I love this. It’s so easy.
The other day a friend of mine Vicki Poppe said: “It’s a simple formula: What I bless, multiplies.”
EXACTLY! That’s it. What I bless, multiplies.

The difficulty is that most people only spend the tiniest amount of their day blessing things – remembering their holiness – because they are too busy being confused, depressed, angry or sad. But the power of decision is my own. MY STATE OF MIND IS A CHOICE.

I choose to BE as God created me, and only that.

Love is what I am, so there is no need for conflict.

Love is what you are, so there is no need for conflict.

Either I am in joy and gratitude, blessing everything OR the ego has snuck in and has taken over.

That really simplifies it. Either I am supremely happy, realizing that my holiness blesses the world, in a constant state of gratitude or I am just having a bad time … by my own choice and decision. I’m doing it to myself. Kinda funny when you really take an honest look at it.

I choose to live every day in love and gratitude. What I bless, multiplies.

“Your holiness is the salvation of the world. It lets you teach the world that it is one with you, not by preaching to it, not by telling it anything, but merely by your quiet recognition that in your holiness are all things blessed along with you.”

I bless you and give thanks to God for you in my life … for your friendship and for your commitment to salvation. I love you.

Enjoy today.

New Audio: Bill & Lisa: Living in God, Life as a House

Here is the audio from this past Thursday on Paltalk.

It’s a one hour talk and it’s great. This is the first audio I have ever listened to that I’ve ever done – Bill had it on in the living room and was listening and I walked into the room and I said: WHAT IS THIS??

He said, it’s us.

LOL.

I sat down and listened – and am listening right now – and it’s very good.

The topic is: We only have today. We don’t have any time. There is only today, and now is the time to be alive and live, to be in gratitude, appreciation, happiness and joy.

I also talk about a great great great movie we watched Life as a House.

and Bill talks about Helen Schucman being asked by Jesus if she wanted to see the past or future and she said no, I just want to be in this moment and she received the scrolls that said: GOD IS.

The focus is ONLY on God – nothing else. God only.

Enjoy:
love to you.

Acceptance is not enough, you have to fall in love and bless in the space you’ve just accepted

I’m in Boston right now with Bill, and with friends, having a great time.

I spent yesterday entertaining an idea/revelation that came into my head, and then yesterday evening around 10pm something happened to me that seemingly is a lesson I have given myself to reinforce the idea/revelations – so that I could practice it. LOL. At least that’s what it feels like.

Yesterday afternoon I got the idea that acceptance is NOT enough. That’s the first step, and it’s a good place to arrive. You accept all things exactly as they are without trying to change or fix or understand them. That is Step 1.  That’s being in the Now. Acceptance is being wherever you are, realizing that where are is where you are.

That’s Acceptance.

Being alert and aware, in the Now.

Like the Buddhist idea:
Breathing in, I know I am breathing in.
Breathing out, I know I am, breathing out.

You bring your total awareness to the present moment, to your breath, to making a cup of tea, to driving your car, to listening to whoever you are with, to washing a dish. That’s acceptance. You let the moment be what it is without wanting to change it.

Breathing in, I know I am breathing in.
Breathing out, I know I am breathing out.

And that of course is GOOD and for a lot of people a huge, huge, huge step.

But for the Saviors of the world, I feel there is more being asked of us. You don’t stop there. Now in the space we have accepted, and are absolutely in the present moment, WE LOVE. We bless. We give thanks. We bring God in. We bring joy in. We bring appreciation in. We bring light in. We recognize ourselves as joyful fearless beings in the accepted space (where nothing needs to be fixed or changed or understand), and we know ourselves as open clear channels for God.

So I had that revelation yesterday afternoon and got extremely happy when it arrived.Thank you God.

Well, then last night,  at 10pm, I was getting ready to go to bed and I picked up my suitcase to move it and a muscle in my back completely spasmed so that I was unable to bend down. It was excrutiatingly painful. I have been practicing choreography for Zumba classes for about 2 weeks and my body has been in a kind of transition, with new muscles in action after no use for years, etc.

So last night, my back spasmed into a knot and I could not move without extreme pain shooting through me.

And then I remembered the revelation.

1. Acceptance. Whatever is happening right now is PERFECT
2. Bless and Love and Give Thanks.

I spent the whole night doing that – blessing and falling totally in love with the situation without trying to change it. Just being absolutely totally in joy and gratitude and love.

And then applying Lesson 14:
God did not create pain (back pain or any other) and so it is not real.
I am supposed to teach a Zumba class this morning at 8:30am. I’m going to show up. This is a lesson that has been given to me. I’m not a body. I’m up writing this blog post. I feel happy even though it’s still difficult to move. What is not real (pain) cannot affect me or my happiness.

It cannot affect me in any way whatsoever. I AM as God created me.

In AA we have a great phrase “I can’t, but He will if I let Him.”

I can’t teach the Zumba class, I can’t do anything on my own in fact, but HE CAN, and I’m going to let Him. Amen.

I love you and I bless you and I give thanks for you , you joyful fearless gorgeous light of God!

Love, Lisa
